Reebok Floatzig 1 Preview & Market Analysis

This shoe is great to wear all day long, including getting a run or HIIT type workout in. The midsole feel poppy. I ran on the treadmill in these with my Reebok Floatzig 1 on one foot and my New Balance Fuel Cell Rebel v4 on the other foot. The Floatzig 1 felt a lot poppier than my Rebel v4's. May have something to do with my bodyweight (5'10" 191 lbs) and the force being laid down on the midsoles, but the Floatzig 1's felt a lot springier and poppier than the Rebel v4's.

Floatride 1 - bought 3 pairs for 40 dollars a pop my first year of running. Zesty little sucker. I still have a pair I use for shake out runs before a marathon. I’m always pulling for Reebok. Btw you made my year end shoe review list today

I've been a big fan of the FE 4 and 5 up until now, but now, at first glance they leave me very perplexed and I don't like them at all. I'll wait to see some reviews before buying them. Can I assume that a Floatride Energy 6 will not be released? Thank you

Everything they showed at TRE was part of the FloatZig line so I would assume that the floatride energy won't be continued. Can't confirm 100% though

Their floatride line is underrated! Especially the v 4-5 are great, and vfm at 120 euros. The current zig line is way to heavy!

Yes they have in all black, I have a pair in all black with gum outsole

@@surfingjc these Reebok FloatZig 1 are underrated. They have a beaded TPE midsole (similar to Saucony) and withe the cut outs in midsole they have some pop. I ran a mile one foot in these and one foot in NB Rebel v4 and these Floatzig 1’s were definitely poppier than the NB Rebel v4’s.

Floatride energy is epic has the v1 to v4 and the Floatride energy x the energy 4 was about 250g, is nice and light weight. Zig and Floatride is something no one really asked for…not a fan.

just order it ;D needed new shoes for those 400 repeats and tempo runs. Since I'm not very fast this should work like a charm and not kill me with the price (on my order got -20%!!! FANTASTIC)

It looks interesting if it performs well and has good durability. A lot of guys liked the Floatride Energy 4 & 5 as good budget daily trainers. It seemed the outsole held up really well on those models.

As far as I know Shaq is one of the investors of the group that purchased the brand from Adidas. So, it is natural that he is involved in marketing. That said this shoe was also shown in TRE-2022. It didn't come to market in 2023. I personally think the zig midsole is gimmicky (like On clouds). The outsole is stretching at the Zig cutouts and mechanically it will wear out or break as a result. I think this is more of a causal shoe IMHO.

yikes, those gapped midsole sections definitely look like damage waiting to happen. Feels like Reebok are just trying to make people pay some attention to them
