I tried this bar and absolutely hated the centerline cover. I found that when trying to sheet in or out while agressively steering, the plastic would bind against the square hole in the bar and make sheeting impossible. For me, this is a serious design flaw. I'm not sure how others really like this feature. The idea of a square center line for preventing the bar from spinning is good but the resulting friction against the bar is insane.

@brynmrsh I've had the same experience. If the center lines are not taut, sheeting in and steering to regain kite control sometimes doesn't happen because, as you pointed out, the plastic does get stuck against the square hole. So the kite continues in the wrong direction. This can happen in gusty wind conditions or if the wind drops quickly. I have gotten tennis elbow from the friction while using this bar, and I've never had tennis elbow before. Under high pressure, I haven't had a problem as the taut center lines shoot straight through the square hole with little friction.

Needs replaceable centre where the monoblock runs thru the bar. Mine is close to being rubbish after a year. Love the bar though

Hey, we provide all the parts necessary with our DreamStick X to fold your lines. This way you can quickly switch between for example 24m and 12m.
