Hey bud a great bait for West Bay / SLP for this time of year is the White paddle tail shad by Storm. Use the 3”. Cast it let it sink for 2seconds then just slow retrieve. You will be glad you did so.

I met you the other day at the Jamaica Beach boat ramp I like your little boat

Also in West Bay / SLP fish the out going tide early morning like 2-3 am fish the flats on the edge of the canals then around 4-5 am fish the middle of the canals with a shad tail or a Chicken on the chain DSL. You will freak out on how many fish you will catch in a short time. Then at day break use a red head white body top water & hold on. You will limit in 30 minutes or less. The Reds will run the shallow flats but they prefer finger mullet or piggy perch but be careful there is a ton of Bull Reds on the flats.

I know exactly where you're at on the north shoreline. Pretty good place to fish with a north wind.

James Klyng yah certain spots are not hard to figure out! Also if anyone fishes just a little they will know exactly where I was at haha. It’s always fun to try even when guys try and keep it a secret.
