CJ just wanted to let you know that I have watched all of your videos up to this point. I ordered a sign from your guy. I gotta tell you that he is a real human being. I explained to him how I got back into the hobby after watching KZbin with my wife she looked at me and said, "You should get another aquarium," and I said after the 240-gallon flood disaster 30 years ago? She responded with yes, so I did. Long story short, I bought a petsmart special and had to use canisters' fx2 two of them, and let's just say it wasn't fit for a reef tank it was set up complete on 2/19/24. So I upgraded to the Innovative Marine 100 gallon complete setup. Unfortunately, my wife passed away on 3/21/24 from a routine brain biopsy that went horribly wrong horribly fast, so she never got to see the new Innovative Marine INT 100. But I wanted you to know that I also shared this with the sign guy. Sorry, I can't remember his name as I wrote this, but I wanted to thank you for turning me on to him. He's actually going to add something to her sign, "Rhondas Dream" which the tank was named prior to her passing. I love your videos, and you have given me great strength in not only striving to achieve the Dream but also having let me see what can be accomplished with determination and strength can be accomplished. So a Heart felt thank you!! Keep doing what You Do! Sincerely, Earl Griffin

I’d just grab a few peppermint shrimp. I’ve never had an issue with aiptasia with them in the tank. Although with some wrasses that’s not viable. I’m got one mean Christmas Wrasse in my tank right now. Ha

Hey man, i have the same po4 checker. Typically when mine reads .04, I get nervous because the checker can be off by + or - .04. Usually when mine reads that the tank is at 0 po4. I just try to keep it above .04 so I know there is some in there. Maybe I’m just a little skeptical but that’s what I like to do.
@CJSAQUARIUMS9 ай бұрын
That’s a great point last test after this video was .07 I think I’ll leave it right at .1 or alittle below just to be safe. Thanks for tapping in 🫡

I have been taking a break from the hobby for 7 years and thinking about coming back. I used to watch your channel back in the day. Is there a reason you went with the 75 vs 100 gallon? Also, you prefer the ext over the int? Thanks
@CJSAQUARIUMS8 ай бұрын
Original plan was 100ext but the weight on 2nd floor apartment made me go 75. Definitely ext vs int the usable space inside the tank is worth the gap behind it 🫡

I got tired of buying Joe's Juice because any chemical method appears to just "control" aiptasia but they will always come back...kalk mixed with tank water = joe's juice. You can put it in the same syringe and smother them. A bit more cost effective and does the same thing. Just do it in small sections of the tank to avoid throwing off parameters.
@CJSAQUARIUMS9 ай бұрын
Yea I’ve done kalk paste before. Figured I’d try the juice since I was already making a brs order. Once it runs out Kalk paste is the move 🫡

Yo Cj I’ve been watching your jbj 65 build video I have the same one I had a question while my tank is cycling will seachem prime dilute my test readings haven’t seen any ammonia in a week

I have a clown fish it’s been about a week and I’ve been using prime and stability everyday what should I do I’m super dedicated watching a lot of videos doing research
@chrisschwartz19679 ай бұрын
I don’t want to let the prime dilute and there be an ammonia spike but how can I tell what’s happening with the end of my cycle without harming my fish
@CJSAQUARIUMS9 ай бұрын
Your delaying the cycle the best solution would be to let tank cycle before adding any fish. Clowns are hardy so they may survive it but if they are expensive clowns I wouldn’t risk it. Make sure you have seeded the tank with live bacteria or established rock & or bio media from an established system as well. That will help kick start you. Stop adding prime your cycle will stall 🫡
@chrisschwartz19679 ай бұрын
Yeah I added live sand and dr tims bacteria .so what should I do to keep ammonia spikes down ?after the prime dilutescan I keep using stability

Dont do such large water changes that the rocks get exposed to air. Doing that will cause some of your good bacteria to perish and might expose you to pathogentic bacteria taking hold in your aquarium. Happened to me. Stony coral tissue loss disease happened and caused me to loose alot of corals . Confirmed with a aquabiome test.
