We know there isn't a total agreement on what a *Holy Grail* torch coral is, some might call this strain a *Dragon Soul* but that's the trouble with trade names. The only *REAL* name for this coral is Euphyllia glabrescens. You can buy Revive from our North American Retail Partner Premium Aquatics: premiumaquatics.com/products/fishies-revive-coral-cleaner-168oz-500ml.html

But if you only care about the REAL name, why even mention the trade names or that it was a "holy grail" to me it should be called the Holy flatworm hammer

This is exactly what I have in my aquarium. The flatworms look like shingles on my rocks. I keep pulling hundreds out with a target feeder. I have had to dip my torch coral since it was kind of sad looking. It's been a week now and I see it a little better🙏. I don't want to use anything to dose my aquarium for flat worms and I am currently looking for rigid tubing to attach hose to suck them out.

Seeing as through it appears that there is an infestation of flat worms in that system, doesn't it seem like dipping individual corals is a loosing battle? Aside from a wrasse, what other methods would you use to treat the whole tank? Thanks and I greatly appreciate your content...Cheers from Canada

if it was a chronic problem I'd certainly be worried and would have done something to completely eradicate them but since it's not, I just keep an eye the corals.
@johnkidd39753 жыл бұрын
Hey Marc, hi from Halifax. My LFS recommends the Springers damsel a.k.a. Blue Sapphire Damsel as a good utility fish to combat flatworms. Do some research on it, keep in mind they can be territorial and have a small area that they will patrol. For a larger tank you would add them for based on how large this area is. My tank is an 80 gal corner tank and I have one, probably should have two as one half of the tank is not being patrolled.

Hey Jake. I have been living with those flatworms for 15 years. I have had 100% success rate with melanarus wrasse (3 different specimens) eating these guys. They will never be all gone but their population will decrease by 90%. No luck with sixline wrasse at all. Good luck.

Wow, that's kind of scary to see that many flatworms pop off, even if they are benign. There has to be natural ways to deal with that as I can't imagine removing corals for dipping is in any way practical for most people.
