The new setup is so much better and faster than it used to be! Major props to Neptune for this fix. It was even easier and faster than Hydros.

Dude I freaking won one from the BRS neptune reveal stream...I installed in the LFS and it's pretty badass....already have a fully kitted neptune tank at home so....it was even autographed ...at first I thought the LLS was kinda dumb but I've already grown to love it in a few days of use ...the new head unit is pretty sick with the FMM built in ...one thing I think they could add quickly down the pipeline would be a sweet stray voltage meter
@Sammy31Dee2 жыл бұрын
Only mildly annoying thing during setup was the constant Salinity too low error ....when I didn't even have a probe connected....so make sure yall click the gear on the widget and "disable" probe till you add it later

Yea Agee. Could be disabled by default but easy fix. LLS is super cool. I have tons of ideas once they are fully out and I can get more :)

Great video! I’m also interested in an update on the frag tank. Did you add reefbrite to your existing light setup? If so, would love to see how you installed it!!

Hey another great video thanks for sharing, I have a question not related- I am building a new 89 gallon and I am thinking of buying to radions G5 so I can enjoy the discount and if in the future everything goes as plan I will buy the upgrade kits for the G5's to become G6's do you think the G5's will be a good choice for future upgrade, or just wait and get G6's. please let me know if you can I follow all your tanks from the beginning, is OK if you can not answer, I know you are a busy man... have a good night and thanks for the videos.

Is it possible to put the levelsensor in a kalkwasser bin? then you could automate filling and mixing with a wav during day and then dose during night.

Hi can we buy salinity prob separately and connect to apex pro? I mean has the right port to contact the prob?

@@ReefDudes makes me wonder if they did this to stall a bit for a new salinity probe? Promo these new sensors...and hopefully when the kit flips back to the standard non 25th edition V3 ....maybe it's sold with a revised conductivity probe? Idk just spitballing

@@ReefDudes yeah I know it's not a cheap hobby but it's getting really, really expensive now. Not just the equipment but the price of energy (and the overall cost of living) is also getting through the roof. Don't know how it is in America but over here in the Netherlands... jeez 😔

From Neptune on their LLS product page FAQ, "it is best practice not to use the LLS for immediate control needs- like auto top-off control" Meanwhile, Apex enthusiasts everywhere "Lets use the LLS for our ATO!" lol.. 😂🤷♂️. (no judgement, it was my first thought too)

Salinity probe is alot more useful.
@ReefDudes2 жыл бұрын
I have always found it to be a bit flaky so i kinda take its readings with a grain of salt. that being said if you ensure no bubbles and the wire is not ran by any power wires it can be decent :)
@Sammy31Dee2 жыл бұрын
@@ReefDudes mine was flaky then I added the SPS kit from VCA and its absolutely pegged...however the pmup died twice and now I just have the VCA cone inside the probe and it's still pegged but it must be in non bubble zone of the sump...

@@ReefDudes taking out a $200 probe to replace it with a 2 dollar plastic ruler is definitely alot more profitable as well. That's the real reason they did it.

@@Sammy31Dee can you give some more detail? Currently deciding between the A3 (non-pro) vs A2, and I’m leaning towards the A2 for the salinity probe. Had a mishap with my AWC recently and lost my favorite inverts. I’ve read that the salinity probe has some issues, so would love some more info!
@Jay-dq5vg2 жыл бұрын
@@ReefDudes really doesnt matter if its accurate, I know mines not accurate but its actively monitoring. Thats what I actually need it for... alot of things that can go wrong in a tank that a rising or dropping salinity level can allow you to catch early.. I think this is a huge miss for apex not to include a salinity probe in the PRO version. I understand why they did it though. Money talks. Id take the salinity probe over the level indicator in the kit any day. Although I do like the level indicator.
