One of the better videos I've seen on the Apex, thank you. Don't know why more into is not out there but maybe as BRS owns them now, more will come. After your issues with heaters, I would lean more to an Inkbird to control the two heaters as main and Apex as a backup if inkbird takes a dump with a larger heater swing on the Apex but you know better than me so all good.

I wasn’t very aware of what the Apex was capable of. Definitely seems more worth it than I thought. Super cool tech and really good video explaining it. Love the channel

Geez! I wish my Apex Pro set up went that easy! After I received it and attempted to set it up, the Energy Bar would not power up! They sent me a new one. Now, I am stuck on getting it connected. It will not connect either by Ethernet or WiFi. Very frustrating! Been bouncing back and forth with Apex troubleshooting it but still does not work. I am so close to packing it all up and sending it back!

Hey March! Pleaseeee make an Apex Fusion tutorial. I got so excited when you started talking about the feed modes and then you said “I’m getting ahead of myself” lol. I would greatly appreciate it. There is barely any videos on how to set these things up.

Great Vid, but please please add/fix the overview history so we can see daily values when a previous day is selected it was on old app. I know in reports but 2-3 menus in.

Great video. Personally I would not have the heaters set to fallback on as you have it currently setup, your actual heater could have failed without you knowing as the apex controls the temp. Worst case heater could have failed in on position and if the apex ever gets disconnected it will default to on cooking your tank. Things can survive a bit of a lower temp much longer giving you time and ample warning to fix it. Also it is recommended to use the heaters internal thermostat as heaters are cheap and then have the apex as a backup to turn it off if ever needed. As the powerbars relays can get worn down, I believe brs calculated 3 million plus on off cycles per year on the heater outlet. Heaters are much cheaper then a new powerbar. Sorry to see the tank crash. Just for interest sake why did you go with the apex el instead of the full one that monitors salinity and orp? After the last tank crash I thought you would put as much redundancy in as possible. And if salinity is the first thing that comes to mind why skip on that?

Never thought about combining certain equipment into 1 plug. Does it matter which 2 to 1 plug I get or can I get any from amazon? Like does it have to be a certain guage wire or appliance wire?

Apex is nice, I could only afford inkbird heating and cooling thermostat.

I just set up my apex, all of my plugs in the app have those grey lines going across that whole plug switch panel, I can’t figure out why they won’t work, so I can’t switch any of them on or off. anyone know why they show up like this?

The apex is such a ripoff it shouldn’t be that expensive someone needs to make another type of apex to compete
@Chris583693 жыл бұрын
They have the EL which is like $500 ‘entry level’ there are cheaper ways to do it. I’ve seen where some has used raspberry pie & some coding & other stuff. I just got my apex back around March & haven’t had any issues yet. I plan on adding a bunch more. Hopefully I don’t have any issues 🤞🏼

@@Tigglebitties yea not a fan of it tho. We need something more apex style that’s much more affordable with the same functions. If I was rich I would create a controller that would outcompete the apex in price and change the entire market. It’s 2023. Our monitoring of our tanks should be much better and affordable by now.
