Reefing with a Dutchman System

I liked the video. have used this system on a j 122. the dutchman combined with single line reefing made saiing the boat a walk in the park. even while sailing solo

G'day. I live on and sail an 27 ft sailing boat, Mostly on my owen. I have a few questions to ask. 1. Does the dutchman make reefing easy for.an single handed person with no crew on board ?. 2. Can the system be used on any size boat ?. 3. What is the cost, and is it easy to install on your owen ?. I live in Australia New South Wales.

I would turn that forward reef line shackle around 180 degrees or use a different style fastener to prevent chaffing on your sail. Good video Thanks

Please show use the Dutchman system in use on windy days. I also noticed the mainsail here looked to have no batons. So perhaps you should make a new video with a full baton sail reefing in windy conditions (that’s when you reef anyway) and we can then judge the performance in real life conditions. As for now I’m doubtful it’s a good as manufactured claims.
