I had a ride on the pier train when i was 14 so that would be be around 76/77 and there we're still large pleasure boats using the pier. I think day trips from the mainland.

HI All. Just a quick update as someone posted about me breaking rules but has since removed the comments, they centred around buildings and roads. These are the rules on the IOM Gov web site, I don't believe I have maliciously broken these rules (bar maybe close to the road when taking off). However I would like to reassure people that I am not a peeping tom, I don't fly deliberately close to buildings or roads, in fact I try to keep to beaches or moor land etc where possible. I'm just trying to provide people a view of the island and encourage people to visit these places and the island. If anyone has an issue then I will pull the videos. I'm not looking for an argument or a vote of confidence. I just want to be open and honest and absolutely I do not want to upset anyone. "Just like any other aircraft, a drone must always be flown in a safe manner, both with respect to other aircraft in the air and also to people and properties on the ground. When you fly a drone in the Isle of Man it is your responsibility to be aware of the rules that are in place to keep everyone safe. Follow these simple steps to make sure you are flying safely and legally. Make sure you can see your drone at all times Don't fly higher than 400 feet Always keep your drone away from aircraft, helicopters, airports and airfields. Drones fitted with cameras must not be flown: within 50 metres of people, vehicles, buildings or structures over or within 150 metres of a congested areas or large gatherings of people Make sure you have permission from Isle of Man Civil Aviation Administration to fly your drone for commercial purposes Use your common sense and fly safely; you could be prosecuted if you don't Drone operators must also respect the privacy of people on the ground" If anyone thinks I have invaded their privacy or property then please let me know and I will either remove the video in its entirety or edit it to remove the offending elements. On a more positive note I think I should have a cracking video of Port Erin to edit. Thanks Craig

Well, I certainly am benefiting from your positive videos. I don't know any laws but all I have seen is positive. You don't go close to people and if there are people in any shot, it would take a miracle to try see who they are. Thanks for these videos. I know I am watching 3 years ago clips, but I did not want to miss out on anything. Hence me starting at the back and working up to the new videos. Leaving the best to last ;-)
