My dad wanted me to learn this tune from Claude Méthé's great video series, but then he bailed on playing it with me! Oh well, it's a great tune that now I can share with you all! "Reel de la bourgeoise" is from the great Québécois fiddler Aimé Gagnon from St-Louis-de-Lotbinière. Claude Méthé is a huge fan of Gagnon's and new him for many years, so I got my version from Claude and Lisa Ornstein (I can't find Gagnon's version recorded anywhere in my collection). It's a lovely and heavily ornamented Québécois reel and if you go to my Patreon, I think I'll teach it as a fiddle lesson so that folks can learn some of the specific bowings and ornamentations that go with it.
