Thanks for this review, it's great! I was just asking myself if you could tell us about the minimum and maximum lures weights than the reels can handle with. You know, it's always the first thing I'm thinking of, when I want to purchase a new casting reel. But again, thank you very much for this video, it's the only information you could add to your reviews that already are very clear and helpful! (and please excuse my english, I'm french...)

Is it normal to see exposed area between the star drag and handle when tightening drag?? I see at least 4 mm of the drive shaft, and when i loosen drag yes it backs out and comes in contact more with handle. I wonder if mine is missing a spacing washer or what? .. i talked to okuma Canada and he said it's normal to see some drive shaft ? Additionally, if i tighten drag all the way the cranking becomes really hard and resistant, is this normal? I only use high end Shims and Daiwa so just asking please

Do you think the Concept C is a 300 size reel or 200? You should crank the drag down on each reel and try lift a 20lb - 30lb weight with it!
@OklahomasWorstAngler Жыл бұрын
I would say the C is between a 150-200 size. They classify it ad a 200, but I have one now and it holds a good amount of line! I wouldn’t recommend it for anything bigger than 2oz baits though
@deanwatt Жыл бұрын
@@OklahomasWorstAngler Sorry, I meant the CONCEPT A3. What size do you think it is? Also does it have the "Alert Drag Clicker"? I used to have a concept C and really liked it until the salt water ruined the cast control knob and totally seized it.

@8.21productions93 жыл бұрын
but when they’re rating the drags, they’re talking about being locked all the way down. and you can test it by hooking it up to a scale and either pulling it by hand, or using a trailer hitch and pulling until something gives.

Great video!! does okuma Komodo cast better Compared to concept A3 ? Im planning to buy okuma Komodo im still confused if it cast light lure like 20grams to 30grams well. so does okuma Komodo cast lighter lures like 20grams nicely can you help? I've heard because of non disengaging level wind on komodo you can't get better distance while casting.
@OklahomasWorstAngler3 жыл бұрын
Now I will say that the Komodo does cast better and further for me. But I only say that because I use it for the heavier baits I have. I will gladly test some lighter lures for you this week and compare the two and get back to you!

@@OklahomasWorstAngler thank you so much for the feedback sir. I've asked to many others who make video about komodo no one answered about the lighter lures. the thing is i live in nepal up in Himalayas and i fish for Himalayan golden mahseer in big fast rivers and it can grow more than 90 pounds and are very strong fish we get hooked with fish from 10 pounds to 50 pounds so for power no doubt about komodo and mahseer can run up to 100 meters in its first run so for line capacity no problem. only problem is if it cast lighter lures coz we mostly fish with spoons which is 20 gram to 50gram range..its not easy to buy reels in nepal we have to order with our relatives who are abroad so selecting right one is very important for us. Another great video. We just need a double digit on the rat 🐀. I keep looking at getting into heavy swimbaits and trying to find the smallest, lightest reel I can get away with. Not really anything under 9oz that I can find. I was thinking maybe a concept Z cause it has a lil deeper spool than most that size, but with 25lb line it would probably only hold 60-75yds.
@OklahomasWorstAngler4 жыл бұрын
Thanks bro!! Speaking of double digits, found out my scale is 4oz light... so she was 10 when she came out of the water lol. Now, from experience I’ll tell you, don’t get a regular reel for throwing big baits like that. You don’t want your line to bite into the spool and then cast the lure off lol. Like I did once
