So what I got from this is A2 is good for regular fishing but A3 is for giant fish. I hope the A2 I ordered holds up to pike and walleye.

A2 doesn't mean it's size 200. Like how they name the A3. Anyway I think it's bad naming on their end.

When you were talking about line weight, were you referring to braid or mono? I ask because I’m looking to buy the A3 after seeing your video, and using it with 30lb mono. Do you think I would get a reasonable amount of 30lb on the A3 spool? Also, do you think this reel would be ok to use for bottom fishing (Ledgering) with dead bait and 6oz lead (not lure fishing). Seems like people only use baitcaster reels with lures, but I can’t see any reason why I couldn’t use it with a Ledgered dead bait on the bottom. What do you think? I value your opinion 👍

Salt or fresh. I use an A (smaller model) for most lake fishing for bass applications but am gonna get an A3 for swimbait to better handle the stouter rod and heavier lure. Only thing that makes them "saltwater" is a treatment they are given to prevent damage from saltwater use.

It's is named A2, but it is no different than the Concept A except for the cork tab on the spool release and I think more black throughout the components. They might be slightly upgraded I guess, but it's the same reel but a newer generation. A3 name hasn't changed since Gen 1 bc the 3 actually denotes it being the larger reel.
