I've made this comment on another one of the RTFS videos but I love a couple of things about this show. Probably first and foremost being a guy that fishes the mid-atlantic ( I live in Virginia Beach VA, and fish The Outer Banks of NC quite a bit) I love seeing these interesting fishing methods these Florida boys use, but mainly I like the format of fishing with a local area guy in all these shows and present really cool fishing that you don't have to be a millionaire with a yacht to do, and the main thing I like is the humble nature of the host Capt. George Gozdz. I can't tell you how sick and tired I am of watching know-it-all jerks like George Poveromo who can't stand anyone else looking like they might know more than him. Capt. George is a good fisherman but you can tell he still enjoys being a student of the game.

Definitely!! I landed an 80lb yellow fin in June of 2007 and that was about two hours after losing a monster big eye. (soar back and arms are good thing)This summer a close friend of mine is getting married and the bachelor party will definitely be a tuna trip out of Oregon or Hatteras. Any suggestions for a good Capt!? I'll film the trip and post it when we get back.

You know Nick, if you face that hat forward, it will amaze you as the shadow across your eyes [s about 10X better than the shades--and you will not be as sunburned too at the end of the day. It can be important to keep the kites and baits in your field of vision. The bill of the cap can block that overall view of your spread.. Until you fish with Nick C., don't doubt any of his methods.. He is one of the best.

I have a question, I live 6 hours away from the coast and I fish offf a 21' Trophy/Bayliner for Striped Bass. I was wondering is it possible I could do what you guys were doing and fish two lines per kite ( I'd only have one ). I mean my reason for asking this is because I realize that hardly anyone if truly anybody kite fishes like that around here and therefore just wondered if it were possible. Thanks!

In South Florida the name for dolphin is dorado not mahi mahi, we're not in Hawaii. I've been fishing the South Florida and especially the keys for over 40 years and we never called dorados, mahi mahi. Seems like the young bloods today call everything with a new trend hype.
