Looking for Wyatte Earp : I was there on a Sunday, right at noon, in August 2017. I spent about 20 minutes at the grave. I saw a black couple, a middle aged European tourist with his daughter, an Asian college student aged girl who came by herself, and another group of about 15 Asian tourists who all came to visit the grave while I took it in. It was the first and probably last time I will ever be able to see Bruce Lee’s grave. It was maybe one of the most incredible experiences of my 37 years. I’d been a fan of Bruce from 3 years old, never thought I would be standing there. It’s one of the most epic pictures ever taken of me, kneeling and offering a prayer to my childhood hero.

It all seems a bit suspect. Bruce passes out, but is easily accessible and gets saved. The time of he's death he is out of reach just to make sure he doesn't survive. So much time was wasted. In stead of calling the ambulance Betty calls chow, then chow calls his doctor, then the ambulance. Linda Lee said she got a call to go to the hospital and said she arrived at the hospital before Bruce got there. So much time was wasted, it almost looks like someone wanted Lee's death guaranteed. By the way it was great seeing logan, whatever happened to him.

Nice documentary. People seem to over rationalize the cause of Bruce Lee's death probably because of his youth and indestructibility. I have clippings from 1973 claiming that he died from cannabis, marijuana, all the way to a Chinese mafia assassination. Lee was hypersensitive to some medications probably even over the counter meds. He was given a pain killer by Betty Ting Pei a fellow actor when Lee complained of a headache at her apartment. He died from cerebral edema or swelling of the brain while resting and could not be revived. No more no less. Personally I think a factor that contributed to his death was exhaustion, weight loss, improper diet, Lee had a grueling schedule in the last years of his life making simultaneous films that he was heavily involved with directing some choreographing all the fight scenes for the rest. He was very thin in Enter the Dragon noticeably in the opening fight scene.
@postersandstuff7 жыл бұрын
Look at his eyes in the opening of Enter , fella looked worn out.....Michael Chan also noticed this when he & his wife visited the Lee's few months before BL died (a relative of Chan also had the spark from her eyes gone shortly before passing , I guess that's why he noticed it on Lee as well)
@guesswhomartin92497 жыл бұрын
Finally, Somebody got it right, or for the most parts mostly right. Several people who were really close to Bruce said, Bruce was losing too much weight too fast. They go on to say, during the filming of ETG, Bruce passed out on 3 different ocacions, and was rushed to the hospital where they revived him. If this is true, Bruce's health was deteriorating, and his body was shutting down. I heard in another live interview that Bruce wasn't getting any sleep. He'd work long hours, get like 1-hour sleep and go back to work. You can't do that, body needs rest. You can also google this, But there's a report that Bruce use to drink cow or goats blood. If that report is true, that is gross. I personally dont believe that that lady who gave him a pill for the headach, I dont think she had anything to do with it. She simply tried to help him. Personally, I think Bruce was on his way out, he was in very poor health and nobody had a clue. Somehow what ever medication he was taking ( if any ) and the pill she gave him, had a chemical reaction together, and caused his death.

Fun facts: Keye Luke, the actor who dubbed Han, was a hugely prodigious Chinese American actor who played Lee Chan in numerous Charlie Chan movies, and Master Po in the original Kung Fu TV show (with David Carradine in the role that Bruce wanted, and ironically lost for being 'too Asian'). Keye Luke played Kato in the original Green Hornet serials in the 30s, this time a role later played by Bruce. Not only did he voice act in Kung Fu Panda, but he was the voice of Zoltar in the reworked anime Battle Of The Planets.

Nice documentary, but as far as his passing , I'm tired of all this speculation, the sequence of events and cause of death are well documented (as is the earlier episode when doing dubbing work and found unconscious in the bathroom). The man was overworked, exhausted and hypersensitive to a type of medication. The fact that the response of Betty Ting Pei and Raymond Chow went the way it did, was probably down to a simple case of panic, and not understanding the earnest of the situation... sadly Bruce died. It is hard to say that with a proper response, he would have survived but the fact that it took an hour and half before he finally was in hospital didn't help. However, what must not be forgotten is that he went to lay down for a headache, taking the medication and was left on his own for some time, how long he was already in a state of danger before Betty first attempted to wake him up is anyone's guess but probably also a contributing factor... Lets just remember the man, and legacy that he was and is. No amount of speculation will ever bring him back.

Chung called BL a fake karate man and jumped off the wall. BL said So you ready Chung grunted and BL pinned him to the wall. He came at him again and he put him against the wall with more authority. Chung came at him one more time and BL clocked him and pasted him to that wall. Fight over.

Interesting documentary with a take on the Enter the Dragon I hadn't seen before - i.e. the actual location of some of the iconic scenes and a little trivia for effect. However, the narrator/writer showed his ignorance of facts - whether intentional to embellish the drama of the moment or simply irresponsible writing - when he commented about the originally cast actor for the part of Williams. He mentioned Rockne Tarkington who had declined the offer (that later went to Jim Kelly) because he felt he was being exploited. All may be true but then he stated that after turning down the role, no one ever heard from Tarkington again. Well, no one other than the producers, crew, cast, and audiences of the 35 screen credits Tarkington accrued after Dragon was released. He was even the lead in movies like Black Samson and has credits listed on IMDB up till 1994. A misrepresentation of fact as blatant as this of course brings into question the veracity of any of the information shared in this documentary and therefore taints the whole thing as more gossip than history. Point being - stick to the truth or check your facts please. The story is good enough to stand on its own without you having to spice it up.

what's more likely, "poison marijuana" or a cobra bite? Happened during the filming of EtD. The cobra was said to be "devenomized," but, it was 1973 after all. Think about it, if you had a young pot smoking friend who was in good shape, but died a few months after GETTING BITTEN BY A COBRA, would you suspect the pot, or, just maybe the snake bite?
@postersandstuff7 жыл бұрын
Death would be immediately if it was cobra poison so that's out of the question. Another option is they poisoned his weed although I think the headache pill killed him (director Lo Wei had also seen Lee take other peoples medicine on the set of Big Boss)
@uncletony62107 жыл бұрын
again, the cobra was devenomized. My point was there still could've been a small trace of venom, however, which I doubt would not have resulted in immediate death. With regard to "poison weed," who's the "they" who so hated the man that he had to die? With regard to the headache pill, again, if you had a friend who had been bitten by a cobra a couple of months earlier, then took a headache pill and dropped dead, would you suspect the headache pill, or consider the possibility that he was taking headache pills BECAUSE of the cobra bite?
