@@hjillumi880 They're getting rid of drums and replacing them with "snap tracks" and "clap tracks" where fingers snapping or hands clapping largely make up the beat. Everything is sounding the same. It's even wrecking country music and making it sound like pop. In rock and pop, it's making it all sound generic. Live drums are the only way to go unless you're in a techno or synth focused band.

Back in the days, I always saw them as more or less a copy of Sparks (Ron and Russel Mael). This song is very similar in style to what they did in 1973-74. But Blondie were great! Just like the Police and similar bands at the time.

Even at 11, I could appreciate the stalkerish lyrics of this ridiculously catchy song. I loved her growl, and the "...I'll trick ya, I'll trick ya!" line.

The breakdown in this song is so far ahead of it's time. One of my favorite parts in rock'n'roll. Just the breakdown tho. Not the rest of the song. The rest is great too but not ahead of it's time. The breakdown is utterly amazing! I'm surprised there's not more comments saying this
