I actually really like Rayla’s decision. She found her parents happy. They had already accepted their fate and were content with moving on and were together. And while yes they are her birth parents, they really didn’t raise her since they had to go off to the dragon guard. Runnan and Ethari raised her, they need each other. But I also think something big is gonna happen with that final quasar diamond.

Fun Fact: Leola was voiced by Jason Simpson’s daughter! Also, since we never see Leola’s mother, I have a theory that Startouched elves don’t usually have children, but Aaravos created her out of pure love. Maybe years of watching mortals fall and love and make families made him want to experience that kind of love. And if Aaravos literally wished for Leola, it makes him losing her even sadder!

She loved her parents so much and they loved her, but the truth is they weren't there for her, not like Runaan and Ethari were. They left when she was so little and it broke her. Her parents work was done, they died at peace knowing that their actions saved the world. Runaan's story isn't over and he deserves to have a second chance. I hope we get to see their relationship rebuild even more in season seven.

Maybe you've figured or snooped it out by now, but Lain and Tiadrin moved on into the afterlife in peace! (I think) their souls weren't whole because a piece was left in the coins. The coins were the anchor to the realm of the living, hence they were all in limbo. By giving them their respective coins, they were whole again and could move on. Plus, they were more or less at peace, especially since they were together. Runaan was all alone when he got trapped so his guilt and regret ate him up! Unlike L & T, who were ready to move on, Runaan wasn't! All the slowburn foreshadowing throughout the series has been setting up for his resurrection! Plus, there's Ethari, man.

I dont know. I kinda agree with Terry. It started out sweet, but now that he lost Leola its gone a bit too far. But it makes it all the more interesting!!

If he actually mentioned that his daughter was targeted because she showed magic to humans, then it's clear he's making his people the villains. Rayla’s parents accepted their fate, and by taking their coins, their souls were able to move on, I think. They were content to have each other and knowing that their duty was fulfilled and that their daughter would go on to live a good life, so they went on. Runaan, however, has Ethari back home, so he needed to return to the living for him.

That goodbye between Rayla and her parents was one of the most beautiful and sad moments I've ever watched (and I've watched many movies and series). Also Aaravos's history is heartbreaking, but I feel he didn't tell everything to Claudia, just the part he needed to comfort her and make her release him.

It all comes down fear. Sol Regem feared humans gaining magic. The Startouch elves feared their so-called order being disrupted. In the end, this fear ended up turning Aaravos into a monster worse than any of them could fathom. His despair and rage at his daughter being killed for naively giving magic, it made him decide to burn down everything in his anguish. The inability to forgive mistakes just perpetuates the cycle of pain. Those Startouch elves weren't superior to cruel people. They were just a whole bunch or new cruel people who were cruel to Aaravos, whom was cruel to the world around him.

You really expected Rayla to pick her Mom and Dad over Runan? I predicted she would end up choosing Runan from the moment it was revealed they only had 2 Quazar Diamonds, especially once they revealed that the coins contained only a fragment of soul and kept the soul from moving to the afterlife. Bringing the coins with her, it meant that she was able to restore her parents missing fragment of soul. Letting her parents go, they would have each other. But Runan? He needs to go home. He has Ethari -- his husband -- back home, waiting for him. This is the choice that makes sure both pairs can be together with their other half. Also, I think they're going to NEED that last Quazar Diamond on Season 7.

@@ReelJames I give 8.5/10 *only* for the facts that I was a bit disappointed there wasn't more of the Mushroom Mage or Kim'dael and there could've been a *little* more focus on Ezran's own complicated feelings of love and hate in his talk with Karim in "The Red Wedding" given we do know he does hold hate in his heart as seen in the "Deep Below" short story and we're not sure if he has let it go completely or not.

My favorite episode of the series and the 6th season in general. There are a lot of sudden twists and emotional scenes about Aaravos, and it has the great ending's cliffhanger ever seen in all the seasons. The moment that changes everything: Aaravos and Leola's fate is very cruel, unfair, heartbreaking and tragic. That they didn't deserve it... 😢

No! Claudia! How could you! How could you! Ok. I know that Terri made a promise never to leave Claudia's side and all but I'm saying this now, he's too sweet. He needs to know when to stay and when to LEAVE! In this situation, he needs to LEAVE! Aaravos lost his daughter. He might see love as something bad and if he uses Claudia right, Terri might be in serious danger. I don't know. I just have a bad feeling about this, especially since Terri was trying to talk sense into her before they let him out.

Rayla honestly made the best decision. Her main choices were save her parents and leave Runaan or save Runaan and only one of her parents. The thing is that her parents are at peace with their decisions and have each other meanwhile Runaan is clearly suffering and is alone. Also Lain and Tiadrin may be her biological parents but she hadn’t seen them in years and Runaan and with Ethari were the ones who raised her. I think the best scenes that show this is when Lain and Tiadrin are dancing but they don’t even really acknowledge Rayla until she mentions the egg but Runaan on the other hand is only focused on Rayla and the thought of his husband and daughter are what snap him out of it. Yeah Lain and Tiadrin were Rayla’s biological parents but it didn’t seem like they were around a lot. In all of the pictures of Rayla with her parents they’re in their Dragon Guard uniform which means that they were probably gone a lot, meanwhile Runaan and Ethari were the ones who raised her and there’s even an end credit of Rayla and Runaan and she’s even younger than she was when Lain and Tiadrin left in Bloodmoon Huntress. Rayla made the best choice she let her parents rest and saved Runaan

I couldn’t find my comment from earlier but my theory is this: we all know how Rayla promised to kill Callum if he was possessed/used dark magic again. I think that will happen, then somehow Aaravos is defeated, and since Rayla has one quasar diamond left, she’ll use it to bring back Callum.

ahh this episode was so great! Aaravos’ backstory was so sad Terry’s speech was also pretty great i think Rayla choosing Runaan made sense, i’m eager to see how he interacts with Callum and Ezran i loved the score and animation this episode, they nailed expressions season 7 is going to be crazy, especially with Ezran learning that the reason Katolis fell was because Callum messed up the pearl exchange, and instead of going back to Katolis after the Starscraper, they went to go free his fathers killer

This episode had so much happening it was crazy, but seeing the flashback scenes with Aaravos finally allows a sense of why everything happened the way it did and answered the question of why the Sea of the Castout looked familiar when Aaravos was crying. Aaravos once being a loving and kind Startouch Elf before the death of his daughter twisted him into a being a vengeance was such a sad backstory, but it also explains his actions from destroying Aditi, Sol Regem/Anok Arao, and even using Viren before leading him to his death. While it doesn't excuse his actions it paints picture of who Aaravos might have been had he not lost Leola, who could have been an amazing character. The cuts between Callum and Claudia performing the resurrection spell almost made me think Rayla's parents could have been resurrected if the third Quasar Diamond was linked with the first two. Seeing Ruunan in the flesh for the first time since being placed into a coin was beautiful, but disheartening for Rayla who had to be reunited with her parents only to say good-bye. Ending with Callum realizing that Katolis is gone, Ezran and Amaya having the happiness of the wedding destroyed by news that Katolis was destroyed, and seeing Aaravos holding Claudia in his hand while lifting her to the moon; what the hell does this mean for Book 7? Callum will have a lot to deal with when they return to the remnants of Katolis since everything he'd once had is gone and he now has to deal with the perceived loss of Ezran and connecting with Ruunan who'd killed his stepfather. Ezran and Aanya may need to rely on each other to both rebuild Katolis and because he's going to need someone other than his family to support him after learning his kingdom was devastated. It feels like the opening of; Viren, Callum, and Claudia being turned to stone and held like pawns perfectly foreshadows the end of Book 6 with Titan-form Aaravos lifting Claudia up to the moon, also reminds me of what Aaravos told Janai about Aditi; "I consumed her" and wondering if that was literal.

Hopefully those magical shrinking and enlarging mushrooms are still in the Katolis Castle because Team Zym is going to have to use them to fight Aavarovs. The inspirations of this is from the Wizard Duel in Disney’s Sword and the Stone and Marvel’s Ant-Man.

The release of Aaravos and Runnan is my favorite magic scene by far in the series. The color was so beautiful as they mixed, and intertwined. I was surprised to see how big Aaravos was. I mean the guy is a giant. I can't wait for season 7. I have so many theories about the next season.🎉

I don’t remember which interview I watched but it had one of them saying the jailer designed his prison based off of his house so he would be less likely to try and look for a way to escape constantly and be more comfortable, And they said it goes back to the “thin line between mercy and cruelty” Something like that, but I watched so many interviews I can’t remember the one but I think it’s one with the creators of the show

I’m gonna say it. Are we sure that Leola doesn’t have another parent? I was looking at pictures of Leola and then I looked at pictures of the Merciful One and I noticed that they got a bit of a resemblance, like Leola looks more like the Merciful One than she does with Aaravos. I’ve been curious about Aaravos and the Merciful Ones relationship since the teaser of him crying, the Merciful One was the one to propose mercy and then they were the one to go and comfort Aaravos. I could be crazy but what do you all think? Like Aaravos was able to create Sir Sparklepuff with Viren, who’s to say that Startouch Elves can’t do that with each other?
