Jack and Peggy's Excellent Adventure

A little more than 200 people have ever actually made a spacewalk, and the rest of us have to wonder what it’s like-maybe this will help! In May 2017 NASA astronauts Peggy Whitson and Jack Fischer each wore a small high definition video camera during a spacewalk on the International Space Station; here, for the first time ever, we’ve cut together those video streams and added the space to ground audio so you can go out on the EVA with the astronauts and get a sense of what it’s like to be your own little spaceship.

Yeah, talking about losing all sense of control. Out there, in space they are relying on each other, and communication is 🗝️. That is the one place where you don't want to loose the only tiny bit of control you have. Space controls it all. Black holes and Stars maybe? Top great forces.

I really love how the instructors know precisely how many turns of a screw need to be performed in order to remove it. It just goes to show you how much planning is involved. Sorta gives you more comfort in following the directions of the Operator/Mission Control

Notice how we never get a shot of them on a spacewalk on the dark side of Earth? Because then it would show all the stars and nebulae, and milky way. But I've searched for many UNEDITED livestreams of the dark side and they never show that. So obvious lmao

There are plenty of scratches you can see in the video, but there won’t be any dirt accumulation because there is no dirt or dust in space

The ISS does occasionally get hit with small orbital debris (very bad), it recently damaged one of it’s grabbing arms. Luckily, it’s able to adjust it’s orbit to avoid other detected clouds of debris, but of course it’s not perfect and small pieces do hit.

The Erth moves slower some times, because some times they speed up the camera speed. It always takes about 90 minutes to go around Earth one time.
