Actually, the reason why they didn’t kiss is because the actress who played the female lead was too embarrassed to kiss her costar- McAuliffe. Every time they were about to shoot the kiss scene the actress would run off at the last second, so the Director decided not to make them kiss. Well, at least that’s what I remember.
