Thats the way a wiring job should look, everything parallel and the shortest run on top or bottom ( if your break away is up or down ) then next shortest, etc. Keeping all wires tight together and well secured in place. I have to admit that I'm an overkill nut, I overkill everything, wiring included. If it calls for 14ga. I use 12ga. and so on, can't help miself. The things doing electrical work that I don't overkill is breakers or fuses ! The boat is coming along very well, you should be very proud Capt. Mike !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very neat and tidy. Your electrician and mine must have went to the same school. My electrician wired my main power distribution panel the same way. Every stick of conduit in my shop was installed with a level, even in the attic. That wire crimper is similar to one I purchased for use on the Public Transit Buses here in Hillsborough County years ago. And the heat shrink tubing with the adhesive/sealant on the inside searls the terminal ends preventing corrosion. I have a small version hand crimper made for crimping my Anderson Power Pole connectors.that I use in my marine related projects. It crimp 15/30/45 amp terminals and they all will fit in the same housing. I love that system. I have the Minn Kota Riptide 80 lb 24 volt trolling motor with (Spot Lock) on my 17ft. Scout Sport 177 flats boat. Minn Kota offers bigger thrust and higher voltage i.e. 36 volt units for larger boats like yours. I love the Spot Lock feature on my trolling motor. You have a DREAM MACHINE. Can't wait to see you on the water with it. John

Beautiful, well thought out work! Looks great. 1:35 - Why is the washdown pump so low in the bilge? They are splash resistant, but really don't like getting wet or being immersed. I strongly recommend moving higher up if you want it to last longer. I've made that suggestion to a number of friends, and several said they stopped having to replace them every couple of years after getting them higher. Just trying to be helpful. Beautiful work!
@krakenmarineelectric7291
@krakenmarineelectric7291 4 жыл бұрын
There is quite a bit of clearance between the pump and bilge floor, looks lower than it really is. They are sealed units and carry a 3 year warranty. We also give them several coats of a clear sealer which greatly increases service life.

36V trolling motor one hundred percent. You find a school of dolphin in a weed line and you drop that thing and press a button to stay put and you’ll never look back. Same goes with bottom fishing on a wreck. Fishing the oil rigs here in the Gulf it’s an absolute game changer. Set it up current of the rig and work your chum slick into the rig. Free line your live croaker or shrimp into and never worry about anchoring.
@ReelReports

It's nice, but we will manage without it. I was attracted to this boat originally because I saw others rigging the trolling motor. Let's see where we end up in the budget after we hang the motor.

Looks clean and tight. Awesome job! This totally appeals to my meticulous nature. I used to work on aircraft wiring harnesses. I see the beauty here. So, I see the batteries are at deck level on an open center console (wet boat) and not in sealed battery boxes. Is that kosher? I realize they are AGMs so they don't need leak protection but they seem exposed and low to me.
