He really did. He keeps having a major influence all throughout the manga, even up until now. Easily the most impactful villain in MHA (aside from Shiggy, but the anime’s not there yet lmao)

If you think about it, the kids got really, really lucky in this episode. Stain is mostly trained in doing quick strikes, not long drawn out battles. And even then, he still did a fair amount of damage to them while trying not to kill Izuku and Shoto because he recognized them both as true heroes. He was at a massive disadvantage. And even when the Nomu came and he had a chance to escape and run off, he decided to save Deku because he recognized him as a true hero. Stain is a very compelling character. What he's saying isn't exactly wrong. Heroes shouldn't be trying to become heroes for vanity or glory. But rather to help people. Because if your society is full of nothing but shallow heroes, they'll all flee when a true threat approaches. However, I also don't think being a hero to save people has to be their ONLY reason. For example, Uraraka wants to be a hero to get money. Seems selfish on the surface, until you learn that she actually wants to help her family. So the situation isn't exactly black and white. And that's where Stain pushes things to the extreme. He sees things from a mostly black and white perspective. Amazing and compelling character though.

@@mintaroum.9096 Yeah. To be deemed worthy in Stain's eyes, you have to have the right mindset and skillset. Izuku proved himself by showing he had the heart of a hero with the small speech before their confrontation (meddling when you don't need to is the essence of being a hero) and the skills needed to back that up by dodging Stain's attack and actually countering. He wasn't completely unscathed but he did prove that he had the potential to be a true hero. Shoto on the otherhand may have proved his heart by showing up (not entirely sure) but didn't prove his skill as Stain pointed out that he relies to heavily on his quirk, thus being deemed unworthy. Iida didn't have the heart of a hero and I'm going to guess Native didn't have the skills since he does seem like a genuinely good guy (telling the kids to just give up on him and run away).

@@드래곤원-h4j i dont think stain really cares about skillset, it just that shoto's fire skills doesnt match his ice side and either stain thought that he's too lazy to train that side or he figured out what kind of back story shoto had and the reason why he reject his fire side.

@@mintaroum.9096 The reason I say Stain cares about the skills of a hero is mainly due to the cases of Ingenium and Native. Ingenium (the brother) is shown to be a genuinely caring guy who isn't a hero just because it's the family tradition. Yet Stain went after him. It's not like he was a corrupt hero. So why would Stain go after Ingenium? Native is in a similar position. We don't really know him that well but from the small amount we're shown, he doesn't seem like a corrupt hero going for fame and fortune. Yet Stain went after him. Stain seems to have a twisted view on heroes that is like Izuku and Katsuki's views put together. He believes heroes should be heroes in order to save others and that they should have the skill to pull it off. Just wanting to be a hero without any skill would just serve as danger for everyone. (as shown with Gentle Criminal. Izuku's case with the slime villain was just him being very lucky). Shoto may have proven he had the heart of a hero by showing up and trying to save everyone, but due to him not being up to Stain's standards in terms of skill, he wasn't worthy. Izuku likely wouldn't have been deemed worthy if he didn't prove his skill as the very first strike from Stain was clearly meant to kill him. A blade to the face would kill anyone who doesn't have a defensive quirk. But he dodged it and even landed a hit, showing he wasn't just going in blindly and that he had the skill (or at least potential) to be a hero (in Stain's eyes).

The flying nomu went for deku there out of everyone because he is bakugo's friend with wings in S1 ep1 where he bullied deku, the author has confirmed it. That instinct to bully deku was still there even after he became nomu.

Yeah i think it was actually a Quirk Awakening when people can suddenoy turn their quirk up to 1,000,000% which is what All Might means when he says Plus Ultra, forcing your quirks beyond their limitations

The broken rib that pierced Stain's lung came from Ida kicking him. It was an internal injury that Stain made worse by jumping around at the end there 😆. A cool little detail for Ida's comeback

to be completely honest stain is a very understandable character because you see how lida wanted to just get revenge for his brother? he didn't think about saving the other hero that was on the ground which stain didn't like hence calling lida a fake hero but when deku came his only motive was to save lida, you get where i'm going but yeah that's what I think to be honest.

No. We cant deny the fact that iida broke the rule since he hadnt got his lisence yet, and the fact that fighting for revenge instead of for justice is totally not an act of hero, and trying to rescue that hero and run is way more efficiency, and the fact that he almost drag his friend down if the police didnt ignore this situation.

ik this was 4 months ago, but the reason stain was knocked out by the pierced lung (at least how i took it) is because he drank his own blood in a way, activating his quirk on himself.

Now you see why Shoto would pick his dad's agency for his training. While Endeavor is a pos dad and Shoto absolutely hates him, he's number 2 for a reason. He's genuinely a good hero and works hard as hell for that spot.

Stain fought all three of them without trying to kill Deku or Todoroki(Also you can call Young Todoroki, Todoroki or Shoto but I say Todoroki and I call his father Endeavor to be not confused) because he recognized them as worthy of the title Hero, He was only trying to kill Iida and Native. In the end Stain stood against like 7 Heroes including Endeavor the second strongest hero and everyone was frozen in fear against a man who was dead. He stood to his beliefs but his dedication and intensity scared everyone in that moment.
