At the end when Connie saw Belly, I saw all types of emotions in his eyes alone. He looked so tired, completely stressed out, worried, overwhelmed, nervous and suprised all at the same time. He even looks red around his eyes. I think the only reason why it came off as being annoyed she's is be because he's just super tired so when he said "why is she here?" He didn't put much thought into his tone of voice. Almost every episode this season left off with me just wanting to give him a big hug as a person on team conrad. I just want to give him the biggest hug him and never let go. Actually everyone on this show needs a hug.

the second book that this season is based on is called “It’s Not Summer Without You” which is the same title name as Laurel’s novel in the show ❤ also the “love scene” does not happen in the books so it surprised us all

This episode and the next are very emotional. I’m glad Belly and Jere had that fight. It was definitely needed to let their feelings out, and Jere’s feelings were very valid. I’m glad that Belly acknowledged that she wasn’t there for him when his mom was sick. I also love that right after they got everything off their chest in that fight that they immediately went back to being besties. Their relationship is so solid.

I love how this episode showed how much Belly cares about Jeremiah and how much she missed him over the past year. Also, i love how they where able to talk it out and fall right back into being best friends because thats how friendship works.

I do agree belly cared about Jere. What I didn’t like was how Jere blamed belly when belly said she tried to talk to Jere several times, I just feel like sometimes everyone in the show puts so much pressure on a 16 year old.

​@@serenaaavI totally agree with you that everyone has to remember that Belly is 16 and Jere is 17 and Conrad is the oldest at 19 so they're still teenagers, but I don't blame Jere for not responding to Belly after what she did to him. Belly technically did leave him to be with Conrad which she basically admitted too. When Susannah really got sick again is I think what Jere and Belly are both mad about because she didn't try to reach out to him during that part.

He just assumed Conrad broke up with her because he's always like "he's gonna break your heart", he doesn't love you Belly, etc. (I'm not saying Conrad did or didn't brake up with Belly. 5:4 jeremiah is so worried about him after everything that went down it’s so heartwarming to see. 6:7 Yup this is jeremiah trying to keep belly at an arm length because he still have feelings for her & is still hurt. he is probably the only one who knows how to put some healthy boundaries in this show. 7:25 both of these characters will give u something in the upcoming episodes about each relationship the boys have w belly. 8:17 when belly says that i thought it’s really late it’s been months since that happened and he was all alone without a best friend or a mom and u know that dad is already useless 9:19 their mom is really weird about belly she has put a lot of weight on her shoulder to keep one of her boys happy. she’s weird for that, at least remember that you have another son who’s deeply hurting.. how can u not see through him when u spent the last days with him? the writers at fault for this 12:23 “you’re the one I called, not him” You’re gonna see belly do this all season practically pursuing Jeremiah because she realized she chose wrong she went after a childhood crush and it didn’t live up to what she thought it would 4:46 the way it’s shot and the song is really beautiful but then you hear Jeremiah say that and i lost it 😂 he was so done

Jeremiah getting mad at Belly for kissing Conrad is so unjustified in my opinion. Everyone knew since they were younger that Belly had a crush on Conrad. Jere also saw them about to kiss on the 4th and stopped it by blasting a firework at them. He knew.

I'm so tired of Connie's girls and their hypocritical mentality. I'm sure that if Belly was a guy and Jere was a girl everyone would say that Belly behaved like an asshole and no one would try to invalidate Jere's feelings and everyone would find them legitimate. In the love triangle the one at fault is Belly. Jere just wanted to take a chance. Since Conrad was pushing Belly away and she was trying to move forward, he took his chance. What should he have done? Swallowed his feelings and not tried? It's better to admit to someone that you love them even if you know it's not reciprocal, at least you don't keep it to yourself because it's important to verbalize your emotions and share them. Saying yes but he knew that Belly and Conrad is just a justification for Belly's wrongs. She should never have kissed Conrad the same night the truth about Su came out and even more without having a discussion with Jere and clarifying their relationship. He told her his feelings and she accepted them. Sorry but you dont hook up or be in couple with someone or accept someone's feelings if you're in love with someone else it's fucked up. And the fact that the first thing she says to Jere is the kiss with Conrad so yes it's important to tell him but the fact that she doesn't even talk to him about what he has just learned to try to know how he feels when she did it for Conrad and the fact that she dares to say that they are best friends. But as Jere said, everyone expects him to do well and when he wants to verbalize and express his emotions everyone came at him

Conrad wasn’t the one who said specifically “Let’s break up” but he was pulling away from Belly. She thought she was already losing him and he wanted to end the relationship, so she broke up with him before he could. He never fought her on it and just accepted it.

I don’t see how Jeremiah could blame Belly that she wasn’t there for him, it’s he who cut off with her. For Jeremiah, it’s always other’s fault. I don’t like to see Belly had to apologize for their losing contact. It’s not her fault! Here sounds so much manipulation, he behaved like a big baby. Sure Belly dumped him after deb ball, but shouldn’t Jeremiah also takes some of the blame? He knew his brother and Belly always had a thing, still he approached her and made her confused. When Steven asked Belly, what was that about Jere and her, she said she didn’t know. It’s obvious that she and jere not at the same stage in S1. It sucks for him that she chose his brother, but it’s also his own doing to force himself into this relationship. When can we see for once that Jeremiah really apologize😮

I don’t think that team Conrad and team Jere would ever be agreed if Jeremiah should make his move after he blew the first kiss between his brother and Belly. It’s not the point here. But we can agree that he knew all the time Belly and his brother has a thing. Ok! As you say, he shall also make his move, so there is a consequence out of it. The thing is, when Belly chose his brother, he got so angry at her and his brother. Well, it’s of course very human. But the whole thing, isn’t it a consequence of his own behavior? Shall he only blame Belly? Not a little on himself? That’s my point anyway. I just can’t see why a Jeremiah did thing irresponsible, and every forgave him. He wouldn't have been angry and besides it's not really anger, but pain he's hurt, if Belly had told him from the start listen you and me it's not possible, he would have been hurt and would move on but this is not the case Belly accepted his feelings and shared them in the end he is hurt by the betrayal because yes it was indeed a betrayal on her part. Belly should never have been with him if she was in love with Conrad because Jere didn't force her hand, she accepted when she shouldn't have, you don't get into a relationship or anything with a person if you love another, and it doesn't matter if the other knows, because in the end it's you who accepts and makes the choice to be with this person knowing that you don't love them and that they risk suffer from it. He is hurt by the betrayal he says it not because she chose to be with Conard and even if that was the case what he feels is legitimate, if he wants it he has the right to be angry at the fact that Belly is chosen Conrad but he has no right to blame Belly for her choice but if he's hurt it 's because she kissed him and gave him a false hope and right after she kisses her brother and wants to form a relationship with him. If Belly was a guy everyone would say he's an asshole, for kissing a girl and then kissing his sister behind her back.

Conrad is still grieving his mother so I wouldn't put his emotional state solely on Belly's shoulders. Throughout all his encounters with Belly he is grieving. He's not really emotionally available. He leans on Belly for support though. I'm amazed how awkward he is with Belly. You'd think he'd never been around girl in his life. But we know that's not true. Conrad disappoints Belly on her first time, imo But maybe she didn't know what to expect? The final scene in front of the fire after the lovemaking, Conrad is not holding his lover in his arms (after her first time, mind you! It's big deal as you guys said. And dude is ASLEEP!) but instead he's curled up in fetal position asleep. He's not there! He's not even conscious when she s confesses "It's always been you." Conrad is her dream, her childhood crush & obsession. I don't think it's love between them. The comparison between how Conrad handles himself with Belly physically, emotionally, intimately is NOWHERE in the league of Jeremiah. Jere, as you'll see later has the confidence, swagger, emotional vulnerability and communication skills that Conrad simply lacks.
