it wasn't time travel, Jenna imagined what her life would be like at 30 if she had chosen to be with those stuck up "popular" girls. It's like her life flashing before her eyes and realizing how her decision can change her future, so she learned her lesson so when she came back to 'reality' as a 13 year old, she just lived her life
