The VA disability claim is the worst culprit. "Hey, I've never been able to get right after coming home, I can't get my stuff together, every one I served for abandoned me, everything is falling apart, everything hurts, I'm homeless, and I'm considering just ending it all, please help me"... Cool so we need you to get super organized and jump through these hoops, you'll need access to technology thats probably hard to get access to, and maybe then we can help you. Good luck. If you could jump through the hoops they expect, you probably didn't need the help in the first place.

NicTV - from the heart, your videos are strait up the most informative on VRE anyone has made. Your professionally delivery and clear presentation allow easy understanding of these complex legal/gamesmanship issues. Thank you very much for all of the hard work you put into helping others - God bless sister! Also - for such a dry, abrasive subject matter - you make this video fun and engaging. I could watch this video just for fun - want to yell at that mean lady on the screen - Outstanding!

I devoured and rewatched many of your videos along with taking alot of notes and practicing out loud using the verbiage needed to get approved. I gotta tell you, after cramming your videos and watching them from afternoon yesterday to about 2 am last night and about half an hour before the interview, I was found entitled after about an hour and a half into the interview being i used everything I remembered from your videos while speaking to the counselor. Thank you so much and I hope that those seeking help in this find your channel and really study it.. Thank you Nic!!!

OMG- the Counsellor did not know the regs are cared. I tried all the tactics. I am certainly entitled ans told her this program was designed for vets like me. I lost a 100k job because of my service related disabilities and she was practically telling me to work at a job like McDonald’s. The Counsellor was as dumb as a door knob! I am still waiting for my denial letter. This is a scam on the VR&E and I have two children that would benefit for me to get the same salary I lost. Her excuse is my skills are transferable but not really. I lost 100k and that was not top salary in my job. So, it is not suitable as an IT position that suits my level of intelligence - I have a doctorate in music but my tinnitus makes hearing and playing music extremely painful and I can stand for more than 30 minutes without pain. Doctors all connected this and I have at the moment 60% DAV - they are considering raising it at least to 100% - I have been in physical therapy on and off for 3 years. This is crazy since all my VA records prove what I said.

Hi Nic, I just wanted to thank you for your videos! They were super helpful and gave me the confidence to pursue VR&E. I just got approved this morning! I was blessed with my counselor as she was nice and I didn't have to do any convincing. She literally asked me questions about my disability and then told me that she could approve me. No mind games and no arguing. She was super helpful and even gave me tips like saving a month of my GI Bill instead of giving all 36 months to my wife, so that I could get paid a $1000/month more from VR&E! I wish all counselors were like the one I had. Anyways, even though I didn't implement your tactics that you talk about, I still had the scripts up and ready, and ultimately they gave me the confidence to even pursue VR&E. Thank you for all you do for us! I hope you have a blessed day :)

I didn't know what to expect, didn't know what to say, got tripped up a lot(because for one I was not prepared but also because of the psychological head games) but you can bet that I am going to be prepared (and I will get approved!) next time. Be prepared by watching, watching, watching (not only watching but mostly listening) to your videos over, over, over, over(and so on) again! Thank you...

Not everybody gets put through the ringer but unfortunately, a lot of us do. The beautiful thing is you can reapply. Shake it all off and start over. Definitely look at the whole entitlement playlist. Definitely pay close attention to video #39 so you can prepare for your next initial meeting. Make sure you don't send the previously denied letter until 24 hours before your meeting (you don't want to give them too much time to examine it and develop a way to deny you again). Once you've watched the videos, if you have specific questions that were not addressed, feel free to reach out to me directly. Click on my name and then click "contact Nic". Be encouraged.

First let me say Thank you. Im so grateful for you and the work you do. How amazing and fulfilling it must be to know you are helping so many veterans! My comment/questions ... ? As a veteran with physical and mental service connected disabilities which can be incapacitating tolerating the predictable VBA strategies (lies, tactics) which make it nearly impossible to utilize any VA program or resources the VBA advertises, touting taking how they take care of us. about the time/energy must be spent educate/immerse yourself on/in the VA program (in this case, VR&E ) relating rules, CFRs etc and the need to recite back to a rep, when dealing with a program representative that demonstrates a blatant disregard for those same governing rules. and instead of assisting is requiring you to defend your eligibility --despite clear evidence having been presented.

I asked if there was anything I needed to explain further, questions to answer, or any specific points of concern as to why she couldn't make a decision with me on the call. She said she wanted to review the notes and look at other records she did not have up while on the call. Not feeling great about it, but hoping and praying.

About 90% of the time, when they won’t tell you face-to-face whether or not you’re denied it’s because they don’t want to deal with you debating or arguing or defending your entitlement so they duck out (so to speak) and then mail it to you so they don’t have to face you. However, don’t be discouraged, 10% of the time people are still approved. It’s always surprising to me but it does happen so hang in there. Worst case scenario is, you get denied and then you come back and use the previously denied letter from video # 39. That letter is pretty ironclad and everyone I personally know who used it (if they really did meet the entitlement criteria) they were found entitled the 2nd time so hang in there, you’ll probably be good either way.

I really hope you read these comments because I just realized after being on disability for over 15 years that this service is available after my daughter was told about it during a college interview because she has the same disease I do. She was told that they could help pay for her college tuition, so that she can find a better paying job with this disease. I would love to be able to know how I can use this service for me to go back to school so that I can do a job with my disability (going stir crazy sitting at home for the last 15yrs) and how she can use it to be able to find a good job so that she doesn't ever have to go on disability. So basically how is it used for education purposes if you're going back or if you're just starting. There needs to be a published book that you can read when you first find out you're disabled on all services you can receive to better you life

That's the beauty of VR&E services, you can apply as many times as you want.

Wow, I'm so glad that I watched this video because I am an L.P.N that only worked in the hospital setting but for the past several years have not been able to obtain employment since we have been phased out. Now hospitals are requiring at least a BSN as a entry level nurse. My concern is will the counselor try to steer me into the Associates Degree track. My goal for gainful employment would be a Masters due to the same reasons you mentioned.

she can only steer you if you allow her to

Unreal… This is a possibility of what I’m about to go through?! Sheesh.

It's always possible but just be prepared and you'll be fine 👍

doing some research and checking these videos out. this video was great, just like the real counselors, at least the one I had. I went in trying to do the self-employment track and was steered into the path to do long term service in order to complete a masters degree. not what i wanted to do at all and I never made it past the next step of filling out all the forms after the initial session. now I am researching better so i can be prepared to see another counselor and try the self employment track.

Watch video # 34 to see how I flipped it from long term services to self-employment after I got my masters degree.

Thank you so much!!! I am found entitled, now I'm in the feasibility stage. They say they may not be able to do a doctoral degree because I will not be able to complete it in 26 months and 1 day

Congratulations I’m so happy for you. Don’t forget, you can get that time extended if you have a serious employment handicap. So check video number 16, start at six minutes and 31 seconds and see if you meet that criteria and if you can explain that to them then they can extend your time and then your doctorate is guaranteed.😀

I had no say today in my feasibility portion of the process. She will need my VA doctor to approve if I am able to go back to work right now. I'm now lost at this point.
@iamnicthevet3 жыл бұрын
@@EnvisionD you have a say in every aspect of this process. You might want to look at my video on feasibility (#32) or go to my Facebook group and look up some of the comments or letters re: feasibility so you can get a solid comprehension as to what's going on As long as your doctor is not going to say you can't do the work then you should be fine.
