We know ,a^n-m=a^n/a^m and a^m--n=a^m/n.now,on simplification,the first term becomes a^m/(a^m+a^n) and the second one becomes a^n/(a^n+a^m).adding,we get (a^m+a^n)/(a^m+a^n)=1.
