A short documentary film we shot with our good friend Harry Yeff aka Reeps One. Named A.D.O (Attention Deficit Order) a word play on A.D.D (Attention Deficit Disorder) explores the mind and processes of Harry Yeff, an artist and musician who has been diagnosed with A.D.D and Dyslexia. The story tells tails about how through education you can be bracketed by groups and words. Harry's goal is to abolish the word 'disorder' and prove that through a 'chaotic' mind, you can do great things and most of all, you can be who you want to be. This is not disorder, it is order.

Reeps is my fucking hero. The way his father speaks of him, and his clear, captivating passion and genuine desire for others to feel as fulfilled as him in whatever they do... it inspires me as a beatboxer, but should completely inspire anybody. Truly a fantastic video Reeps and FLYOTW. Wow. I love it. This is some fucking art. Take notes.

I just want to give you a hug Harry. Pure bliss. The inspiration that you're sending out to me and the whole world is beautiful. I recognize myself in the way you descring the situation of being mislead by opinions, or some kind of "this is right and this is wrong-ideas." For as long as I can remember, any type of artform¨has always interested me. One of the things was drawing. I could sit in my room for hours and hours...just letting the time pass by. The years went on, I got into playing guitar, football and so on. I was not quite enjoying every moment of the day, but I tried to cheer it up with the things that gave me joy. One morning, at the age of 8, I noticed that something was tickling on my nose, my ears and my mouth. And it went on, in all types of forms, and I didn't knew what was going on. I was diagnosed with Tourettes Syndrome 10 years later, but it didn't gave me any kind of feeling. "What is Tourettes Syndrome anyway?" I thought said to myself. People in school/environment, my parents - why did they try to supress this? Now, to the part where you come in, Reeps. I don't have the amount of the words to describe how I got into your amazing stuff (and the world of beatbox), but, I thank you from the bottom of my heart, for showing me how to re-charge the batteries within the creativity. I may never be as good, or steady on the hand (because of tics) as I once was, or be the most kickas guitarr player on earth, but, sitting here by the computer, 22 years old, I am extremely thankful for the insights you've given to me. And a thank you, to all the people with uplifting compliments through the years (just wanted to say that too) May the force be with you Reeps, level up! :-)

Really enjoyed this. I also see a lot of myself in the things Harry is saying; yet my life went so different. Something triggered me to give up completely on everything at around 20 years old. I was super competitive, extremely artistic, like Harry I loved chess and puzzles. I played basketball and would draw all day everyday. I got into competitive gaming and working with sound. I was always thought of by my friends as the person who was great at everything, although at the time I didnt see it. I had always felt in my mind not good enough, at anything really. I felt really inferior because of school and the way I couldnt seem to keep a good grade, and thats just what successful smart people did. Anyway, im ranting, and like I said one day something in my life triggered everything to stop. Havent drawn a single thing since and I turn 30 in a few days. And what I am getting at is that you shouldnt let these things get you down. Dont disregard completely the advice of people around you, and those older than you, but take it all with a grain of salt and examine it really hard. My problem is, I think, that I took things/advice too seriously from people. In my mind they had to be correct. Welp now I find out (not to brag) that im really really intelligent (IQ tests, whatever they prove...), and I still have in me this absurd passion for expressing myself and wanting to learn, and that something with my environment and school wasnt connecting with it. I cant stop reading about the sciences, and social topics and what have you, and wish my youth would have absorbed all this sooner. Dont let difficulties in life destroy what you want to do, but also find the fine balance where you dont shut out the rest of the world and what they have to say. I crashed and burned, gave up. Yet in my adult years looking back I realize I just needed to find that fine balance between what I wanted, and what the rest of the world was telling me was correct. Yes, its safe and secure to get the union job, and it will really help to have something sturdy in my future years, but that didnt mean I had to let all my passions collapse into nothing. Even take what I say with a grain of salt, for who am I? Im just a barely 30 year old man from internet. Good video. /rant

oneshotki11 Dude. i love how the internet pulls people together in situations like this, im 16 with A.D.D, i draw names or word in a dark "gothic" kind of style (i hope thats the term). i like finding new challenges and patterns for life to keep me from getting into a rut. i beatbox to free myself from all the bullshit that hapens in school. btw im in my 6th school and its my second time being in this school. but beatboxing frees my mind and lets me float off to my own world. i love music, i listen to anything with a good feel and beat. Im always feeling like im worthless tho, i lost whatever good feelings i had left 7 months back when my ex (girlfriend at the time) died, i lost all hope. i stopped being a functioning part of anything. now my beatboxing is help me through as well as my lovely girlfriend keeps me smiling and happy. btw i may be posting videos of beatboxing sometime soon. im not very good but i let it flow how it wants.

+oneshotki11 I know this is an old post but I couldn't resist responding and I hope you get back to me as I am interested in what you said. I feel a similar way, maybe not 100% but I do have a question to solidify my theory whether or not I can fully relate. Did or do you ever have really creative moments, go to learn something, make something great from it (whether it's drawing, beatboxing, music production, computer science, etc) then give up or get bored and want to move on to learn something else? Personally I find a passion in something, then when I get something good out of it, I move on, I no longer wish to learn it any further or end up playing with it in my spare time and practice something else. I was trying to learn to bbox for around 2 years then I gave up learning new sounds even though I do it in my spare time, this is now 5 years later. I have been learning music productions for around a year now, I've made some nice tracks which I'm happy with but feel to move on to something else. I used to draw like crazy and came up with some amazing sketches if I do say so myself, but no longer have a passion for it. You can see the pattern, just wondered if there are similarities here.

Pretty sure Harry Yeff has mentioned three main talents: Beatboxing, Art, and something else, I can't exactly remember it. It's on the Swissbeatbox channel and it's called... I forgot, Within The Beats or something.. But he mentioned that he would work on two at one time, then he would take a break from one and move to another, like, if he was focusing on his art and beatboxing, and wanted to take a break from beatboxing, he would do art and that other talent that I forgot. Pretty cool stuff!
@thejtbeats167510 жыл бұрын
D3rpy Panda Reeps said in "Beyond the Beats" that he has a triangle where he is always doing two of his passions but not all three. Chess, Beatboxing, and Art. I think what he does is simply amazing and I'm glad I get to see his strong opinion! I love to beatbox and I try to base my style off of him because, in my opinion, is exactly what I am interested in hearing.
