They’re not changing it enough that formatting doesn’t matter. I’m a disabled Latina screenwriter. I probably have a lot of stories people wanna see but I have a learning disability and how you format a screenplay still Matters more than how good it is. A lot of good stories aren’t being told because they’re not formatted correctly.

I am pakistani, I didn't know about the Tulsa Massacre either. When i first saw THAT scene in watchmen, I was left incredulous. There was a part of me that felt that the show went toooo far, this can't possibly happen, americans couldn't possibly bomb their own citizens! And it made me nauseated learning that this scene was basically a part of history, THIS HAPPENED. For me it drove home the fact that oppressed people EVERYWHERE are aggressively written out of our collective conscious, I include the atrocities committed by my own government, on my own people. Art uncovers truth.

These two amazing women have truly Conquered tv in 2019 - 2020!! I'm so impressed by Reese's work. Little Fires Everywhere , The Morning Show , Big Little lies, they all took me by surprise 😲. Also, all her projects have the most epic cast 😂 it's absolutely ridiculous! and don't even get me started on Regina King 👑 ! Watchmen is now in my top 5 shows of all time (right under Westworld & Mr. Robot) 🔥! She killed that role and even though season one wrapped everything up perfectly, I would DIE for a season two 🙏🏾! Not without Regina though 👀.

I’ve been watching Regina King’s work since 227 in the 80’s. Then in the 90’s watching her show up in things like Boyz in the Hood and Poetic Justice. And of course she started to get noticed in a bigger way with the public when she starred in the Tom Cruise film Jerry Maguire.

My introduction to Regina King as an actress came from 'A Cinderella Story' with hilary duff. As a kid, I remember feeling strength, confidence and comfort from her role in this film, King had a way about her that stuck with me - her role wasn't huge but it was the best part! Now seeing that she is in bigger roles with even more depth, King is shining! Go Regina! And Go Reese! you're such a sunshine and so invested in what you and fellow actors do. Listening to two grounded, beautiful women who know themselves and what works and doesn't work in the industry for them is inspiring. As a young mixed-race actress this series de-mystifies a lot of what the industry is all about and the actors experience. Thanks Variety x

When Regina talked about how motherhood opens up something inside of you that you need to be part of change. I was thinking of all the representations of mothers in my life and how that did not happen to them at all. They are so numbed into just raising their kids and surviving life. I'm so glad to have these type of mothers represented here, I wish Hollywood would start representing that because most shows don't show mothers that are changing the world. They show them only in the home, schools, and other wife/mother related things. When Reese says the world shifted and they realized there is an audience. I want to say Reese you shifted the world! Your spinning wheels blew that door wide open.

Damon Lindelof and I grew up in neighboring towns in NJ, which are ~50% white and 50% POC. It's particularly insane, growing up where we did, that we weren't taught about Tulsa or Bass Reeves (ahem Lone Ranger) when we were steeped in so many other things about the Harlem Renaissance, black intellectualism, history and culture.
