This is a good video, but there’s a lot that isn’t mentioned... or quickly glossed over. I had a boss of a small company that wanted to move products to amazon; so I set it up. There’s also a time decay for profits; you’ve got to factor in the monthly storage cost of FBA items that don’t sell as well as the monthly amazon seller fee + fee per item sold in whichever category the item is in (some can be as high as 30% or so). There are additional fees on FBA: packaging, shipping, and I believe some others. Don’t forget that you’re competing against china and other sellers who have an established reputation. The tips at the end are very useful- you do not want to keep inventory of anything: selling fast is the best way to create actual income with this platform. You’re going to spend a significant amount of time looking for items that you think will sell and have the right price tag. Make sure you are making less than you’re selling for (not as obvious as it seems!) Also remember that Walmart isn’t the only place to buy cheaply! There are also online bulk/clearance shops- absolutely be sure to check the shipping fees for these... you can buy 1000 units for $0.1 ... but then rush to check out and discover that the shipping fee is going to be like $150 or something; this changes you’re initial cost from that factor alone from $100 to $250 (0.25/unit) Still, I wish the best of luck to everyone who does put in the work and time needed to get there business started!

@T3dX01
@T3dX01 3 жыл бұрын
@@samsar9118 long story short got out with a plan, thought it was fool proof. But order has a funny way of humbling you. I’ve always put others before myself to the point if you needed a 1000 dollars I would give it to you because watching you suffer hurt me more than losing a little money that I made easy. I had 3 streams of passive income on top of my pay from the military and all the deployment perks because I was hoping on quite a few of those. Never regretted that about myself snd still don’t. But it got to a point I had a savior complex, if I wasn’t able to help because I had to make sure the money flowed, it would hurt me to my soul and I would think if I don’t help who will, if I don’t do the right thing for someone else who will. As much as I wanted and loved helping others and paying it forward, it really got self destructive. Fast forward through my contract, I get out snd COVID hits hard, everything’s shutting down and no one wants to take a chance on a vet with no college credentials. The money I had to keep my family secure was used for that purpose and the struggle was getting worst to the point I considered going back to a life in the streets I left behind to go to the military in change. But I stuck it out, and begged family to take in my wife and son and I would ease the burden by being on the street and trying to figure a way out. Called the VA countless times and they kept my in limbo essentially so nothing in that front and time was of the essence. But while my wife was staying with my family she filled out an application on my behalf with Amazon when everything started opening back up. And by the mercy of God or sheer chance after a little over a 100 job applications Amazon was the first to say let him in and work. So got in and used that money to start building another stream of income and learning how to get an FBA to take off and be successful, well we can say now if child me saw all the dinosaur toys my son has he would probably try to fight him for them. That wasn’t my first struggle like that in life but it was the first where I was alone in it, the one thing I learned you can’t save everyone and if saving everyone means sentencing yourself to death who do you really help

I effing love you man! Not because I want to start a business but because you know your 💩! I’m 68, retired from retail. I started when I was 15 and worked until I was 62. So you explained perfectly 💯 exactly every step the old fashioned way on what a retailer goes through step by step w/the convenience of the computer age. Back in my day I started in shipping and receiving at a young age so imagine taking all of these steps without a computer! L. O. L. That’s right every thing we did had to be hand written with layers of carbon paper most of you won’t know what carbon paper is but look it up it’ll crack you up. It was before we had scan bars or proper identification like we do now. We didn’t know any better back then but every time there was a change to make things easier we embellished The new process. You hit it right on the nose step-by-step and explained it for anyone interested in this craft to do it the right way. I applaud you for your generosity and your knowledge. You like myself had no college courses or fancy schools to go to but we were streetsmart in retail. And that only comes with experience in starting at the bottom. I have loved retail my entire career I’ve worked for five major retailers from drug stores grocery stores clothing stores and bedding. I worked my way up from a ice cream scooper to store managers and district managers and worked in the corporate environment. So for those of you who think it’s a lot of work to do what you do, it is a lot less work than working for a retail outfit at minimum wage basically doing the same thing depending on the department you work for. So while I’m not looking to work again I was very impressed by your video I will continue watching the rest of your product information. Good luck to you I applaud you once again you are doing an awesome job I would’ve hired you in a heartbeat. Sincerely Rick

Interesting, I had no idea you could do this. The big question is... does all of your stuff always sell on Amazon? And how long before it sells? Could you end up with tens of thousands of dollars of stuff over on Amazon that is extremely slow to sell tying up your money for a really long time? And what if the price crashes, can you lose money and will they sell automatically at a loss? Or will it just sit there at the higher price not selling at all while everyone undercuts you?

@@santiagoandres74 I lost all my starting capital in a hack. Struggled to keep my head above water. Business on hold for now, but my studio still has tons of product sitting here. I'm basically on life support from my family after the hack. Lost 90k worth of crypto I was going to cash out way back in December. I've also been forced to move twice in 2 months, which totally messed up a lot of my plans. So I'm struggling, but still trying to make it happen. I believe it is worth my time and effort, and I'm very determined to leave behind a legacy of worker empowerment given how much I've lost to the system. My ideology has never been stronger, especially having run the business for several months and seeing how things work from the business side. I've seen the possibilities for what a business can be from an administrative level. I know that if I wanted a vacation and I wanted to keep making money I would literally need a worker to do everything that I do. The only thing worthwhile that I created was the method of doing business, such as buying and tracking inventory, buying boxes for shipping, using a marketplace online to sell the goods, pack and ship them. My method is my intellectual property, and that's how labor is exploited. However, workers in a small business may end up contributing to the method, in which case the IP ownership should be commonly owned. There's literally only so much I can do in a day. I literally couldn't become a millionaire by my own labor alone because there isn't enough time in a week for me to ship the necessary quantity. However, if I have an employee we both could make more together than I would alone, so I can still benefit without stealing labor value. The benefit would be, I make more than I did before but the distribution of wealth would be fair. Psychopath businessmen maximize what they can get from your labor, which is why they have exponential growth in personal wealth. Rather than splitting the pot with every new employee and slowly increasing personal wealth at the pace of your workers, they try to exceed their workers in personal growth. I find this to be rather selfish and it is because in business and economic schools the west teaches that pursuing your own personal wealth at the expense of others is OK and normal, and that you should want to get rich because it means you're a good person.

Hard to decided how I feel about this vid. First, it was well put together and great information for those wanting to go down the path of selling through amazon. The other part of me actually hates what flippers do. Especially toy and pop culture flippers. This stems from years of working in the retail/customer service industry. What they do actually ruins the days of children and honest collectors. When a flipper/reseller goes to a store and buy not 1 or 2, but EVERYTHING of a popular toy or figure. It makes those that wanted to get it when it game out or at the sales price, pay more to buy it from them. I mean, how many of you wanted to buy a PS5, or still want to buy a PS5? Flippers make it harder for you to get them. They make it so you have to pay more then it's value. So ya, good informative video but really. I hate flippers. Having to see kids cry cause no store has them and to listen to parents yell at staff (including myself) on why we don't have the item we advertised. It's not right.

Yes, it isn't right that children cry over not getting treats and that parents verbally assault people over toys. Flippers aren't the problem there. As far as the flippers go, it's business. They're making a living by buying an item for the listed price. They've done nothing wrong.
