refill 425g co2 tank sodastream

When I heard about DIY refilling I decided I was def going to do this. I just can't find the tanks in my area! Also, how do you know the SS tank is filled? Do you just guess, and refill when it empties? Is there a way to measure? Also, my only concern is an explosion! Lol.

just go to the supermarket and buy dry ice, one pound will more than fill a 60L bottle since you only need 14.5 oz. its alot easier than guessing

Is it enough to lay a non-siphon tube donor tank on its side to refill a Sodastream cartridge, or should the donor tank be fully inverted?

Have you modified the Soda stream valve at all to fill it and how do you know when it is full and not over pressures it , thanks:-)

My concern is if the CO2 gas for welding or industrial uses is the same grade as food grade CO2 for soft drinks...

it's not. You need beverage co2 from a brewshop

It is not full, aboutb out half full after the first fill. But i don't care, i just refill more often. But you can repeat it two or tree times, then it will be full (425g)

nice tip but USE ONLY CO2 for FOOD using don`t USE technical CO2, can be contaminated by toxic substances

sodas bad. You shouldnt drink soda cause sodas bad mmkay? You drink soda and youll just burp, and burpins baad. Extra gases in the body is bad
