1. I made a device to make it easier to replace the sanding belt. The device allows you to install the tension roller in two positions.
2. When working with thin material, there is a danger of it getting into the gap between the support table and the sanding belt.
And when working with thin material, it is necessary to reduce the gap between the table and the sanding belt due to safety requirements.
I decided to grind the side of the table from the side of the sanding belt at an angle and make a chamfer to reduce the area of contact with the belt to reduce its wear.
Now, if the tape touches, while ensuring a minimum gap, the wear of the tape will be minimal, because the area of contact between the table and the tape is minimal.
3. The edge of the support table is straight and does not bend around the sanding work belt.
If the workpiece is thin and long, then it may fall into the gap, although it is small.
At the table, I made a sample for the table to bend around the sanding belt, and now the knife blade, for example, can be rested on the table to the left and right of the belt, without fear of the blade getting into the gap.
4. When sharpening knives, with the knife positioned with the handle to the left of the belt, this handle rested against the grinder frame and did not allow sharpening the blade in the area of the handle.
I ground the frame using an angle grinder. Now the knife handle does not rest against the frame, and the knife can be sharpened along its entire length.
5. I recommend placing a metal plate underneath the belt, on which the sanding products will be collected, in order to prevent the dangerous ignition of wood dust after processing the metal.
I think that such improvements will simplify and improve the work of any grinder.

Под гриндер обычно ставят ванночку с водой, чтобы искры сразу остывали. Так меньше грязи и пыли

В подручнике, со стороны ленты и на её ширину, можно сделать выборку, а не фаску. Тогда он выдвинется вперед и с обоих сторон будет уходить за плоскость ленты. И при обработке заготовок шире чем лента, не будет большой опасности затягивания в зазор. За счет опирания заготовки на подручник по бокам ленты.
