Reflecting on Afghanistan - Ludgate Lectures with Sir Laurie Bristow

We are delighted to invite you to join the first event in our Ludgate Lectures series for 2022, in which we will hear from prominent thinkers and decision makers on the biggest issues of our time.
In this event, we will host Sir Laurie Bristow KCMG, who served as the British Ambassador to Afghanistan until the fall of Kabul to the Taliban in 2021, and is the former COP26 Regional Ambassador to the Middle East, North Africa, Eastern Europe, and Central Asia.
He will speak to the Chair of Bright Blue, Sarah Sands, reflecting on his time as Ambassador to Afghanistan, as well as his time as Ambassador to Russia from 2016 to 2020. He will also answer questions from attendees.
