Back in 1997 two of my English friends wanted to do the tour of the The great silk road which started from the Afghan/Pak border. I managed to get them to the border when the Taliban were in power. They met the Taliban and they said that there hospitality was the best they ever experienced anywhere in the world and they have travelled everywhere! The best hospitality I have ever received was in the US and Ireland but would love to visit Afghanistan as I have heard that the hospitality is the very best!
