I remember watching Stan's show on Fox Sports Net right before a Pittsburgh Pirates game in the 2000s. He was truly a Pittsburgh sports legend, covering everything from the Pirates to Super Bowl wins for the Steelers to the Stanley Cup championships for the Penguins. Pittsburgh sports will never be the same without him. RIP Stan Savran.

Oh NO....Mr Savran passed!? As a out of town follower of Pirates Baseball, from the 1970's I always enjoyed seeing and hearing him when I got the chance. When Fox Sports Pitt became available, I was so happy to see the coverage of Pittsburgh Sports. He was real nice to me and my daughter when we travelled out for some games in 2018. He had a real conversation with us asking about her NCAA D1 Softball recruiting opportunities, and my decision to not pursue sports journalism. Bless his eternal soul and his loved ones.

After the Pens beat the Senators in Ot, I sent Stan a suggestion of using Mr Roger It's a beautiful Day in the neighborhood as the Pens were going to play for the Cup again. And the next day on his show, there it was Thanks Stan R I P #Lovetheshow
