Colin told a story (and it's in one of his books) that people should remember. He met an old grizzled Texan in a Vegas bar. The Texan had just sold his radio stations to one of the radio conglomerates and was celebrating. The Texan gave Colin a piece of advice. Never begrudge other people's success. It just makes you bitter. Colin said that he has since been happy for the success of friends and colleagues, and he felt much better.

Yes, it seems you have to serve your time and develop under someone else's umbrella. Cowherd seemed to develop into what he is today due to years on ESPN. He reached a point when he had power and money but needed to become more of an entrepreneur. I would also say he probably socked away a fair amount of money to live on. Colin is by far the best daily sports show I know of. He's insightful and looks at typical sports topics from a different view. Most of the time he's correct.

Collin advice was spot on for me. I am at a company 3 months in that I am not happy at. What is holding me back is my boss. Love working with her and enjoy our working relationship but I cannot worry about what she would think if I leave. I have to chase my dreams. I'm a young professional and I want to do things my way. It's time. Thanks Colin

It's always easy for a rich person to say "Go out on a limb, take a chance." That's much more easy when you have a bank account full of money to fall back on. People who live check to check can't just up and say one day "Hey honey, lets move from Wichita, Kansas to Orlando, Florida". That is not realistic. I just listened to when Colin said Derrick Rose should have "self awareness". Colin, you should have told yourself that when making that statement about just going out on a limb or whatever.

phuck cali Please. There's more to life than just playing the race card at every turn, and blaming life's challenges on one's skin color. That's a very weak mindset. Colin Cowherd was broke, but that didn't let that stop him. He did what he had to do to get ahead, and it paid off in spades.

Sub up! FOX Sports is good competition to the sports giant ESPN. Good to have friendly, competitive options. Other than Skip Bayless it is a great alternative to sports entertainment.
