Watching the horrors from Gaza (and the callous response from most of the world) has been heartbreaking. I can't imagine being one of these people, pulling my family out of the rubble and knowing that the perpetrators are going unpunished. I can tell this khutbah was not easy for you. ​@@danieljakes5949 I can't answer that, as I'm not Palestinain myself. I will say for generations, Palestinains and Jews lived together in the Holy Land in peace. Remember, it was the Europeans who not only destroyed their temple and tried to exterminate them. I think with all the pain and suffering, it's going to be difficult to have one state where everyone lives in peace. Unless proper amends are made for the decades of apartheid, stolen land, and mistreatment. And the extremist settlers need to be prevented from building settlements and violating international law.

Shukran for this. I thought similar thoughts after praying salaam ul Maghrib this evening and really felt much better. Instead of crying I felt at peace for our Palestinians and other Muslims ungoing oppression. I was comforted in the knowledge that Allah recognizes these Muslims even if men don't care about these lives, Allah does. Let us as Muslims, not have fear but pull closer to Allah and believe in His words. Let our Islamic values guide our speech and actions towards those who commit these atrocities even those who are complicit.

What calms me down, is to remind myself that this life is only a short period of time, a test and that true justice will come on the day of judgment.
