Lyrics: The hands of the clock Walk in circles Life stands still Have you ever felt so hollow, so empty Living against your will Time was never something I imagined I'd see Now I watch it everyday Slip away from me There is a ghost Within my mind And shadows live In the corners of my eyes Tell me of your first memory Does it make you happy Or bring agony I did what I could to forget what I can Now the problem is I don't know who I am Sickness spreads I want more Precious poison I adore Erase me Incomplete My eyes Rolling over white I think I've been dead My entire life Once I waited for the end Now I want to begin again From darkness Beauty grows Dying roses Painted gold Warm words from cold souls Reaching for hands you will never hold I'm here I'm still breathing Theres no purpose You give life its meaning

The last lines of lyrics aren’t in the song?
@dreamzzstate59094 жыл бұрын
@@BulletProofBacon Yea I know I'm confused too. I remember seeing that line on bandcamp when I copied and pasted the lyrics, even after double-checking, but now it isn't there on bandcamp. Not sure where that line came from; it's not from any of the other songs. I definitely remember seeing, copying and pasting that part though. *unless I made a mistake but I swear I remember seeing that part. Not sure how else it would have gotten in the lyrics.

Then guys you don't really pay intention to modern deathcore.. lorna shore, shadow of intent, enterprise earth and brand of sacrifice go are doing way more melodic and creative stuff in thier songs imo
@daoyang2234 жыл бұрын
@@tobibender7475 i love those guys. They're really good. I love Reflections too. They're different in a way that I like. They used to implement clean sections and singing which i miss but this new stuff is still good. I love Lorna Shore though, dude can rip it on the guitar. I think Patrick is a better guitarist though cause the guy is a fusion of 80s melodic shredding and current prog shred
@mediumChungus694 жыл бұрын
@@tobibender7475 I listen to Enterprise Earth and Lorna. Don't get me wrong, those bands' shit is pretty much leading in the world of deathcore, but I don't hear it breaking ground like this song. All their songs are mostly derivative of previous metal styles, it seems like. Obviously this song is derivative of djent and previous deathcore, but this song really wouldn't make much sense without the ambience carrying it. As someone who loves ambience in other genres besides straight ambient music, it's great, and something I know I didn't needed. And it's different from having orchestral parts.

this song is so beautiful in its own very unique and special way. it makes me feel a type of way. that dark anddramatic sounding ambience build up in the beginning gives me a deep feeling of sadness and despair. like as if i lost a family member or something realy dark like that. the lyrics, same thing. deep sadness and pain. and then you have the drop that just makes it all explode into a hurricain of emotions going through me. real powerful stuff right here man

It's really interesting how a song lays heavy in my mind before i really dig into the lyrics. It's as if there is a spiritual reason its stuck in my head once i discover how reflective they are on my life. "I did what I could to forget what I can Now the problem is I don't know who I am" - I relate to this for so many reasons using work as a distraction from my pains early on in life. Hard work has formed me into someone i barely recognize. "The hands of the clock" really do walk in circles now. 🖤

I just won't to say that previous albums were bad. No, they were great too, I'm your fan since The Fantasy Effect, but this album just fucking blowed my mind, this is so groovy, sounds so heavy and solid, so ambient. It causes so deep feelings when I listening it, and I have to say, that the album's wallpaper is reflecting the essence and vibe of this album absolutely exactly, this is really how it feels. I'm pretty sure that this album definitely will become one of my favorite releases in this year. And I'm so glad that you guys came back with this amazing release. Love this song. Love the entire album. I really appreciate that the lyrics take such an unflinching and honest look at topics like trauma and mental illness, and also how the crushing heaviness of the instrumentals lends a complimentary and almost literal sonic weight to the proceedings. Just beautiful stuff all around.
