This creeped me the hell out! When I was a kid I use to go to Chuck E. Cheese a lot, especially for my younger brothers bday parties (we're 7 yrs apart). The animatronic band always creeped me out the most. I know now, as an adult, that it was an electronic glitch, but when I was 8 I genuinely thought the bear was alive. I was sitting at a table eating pizza when I looked over at the stage. At that moment the bears eyes shifted to look at me, giving me the side-eye. I felt the hair stand on it's end from the top of my head down my body. When the "band" started up again, the bear's head moved to look directly at me without the eyes moving. I legit stood up, walked to my Mom and curled into the smallest ball I could beside her. It scared the crap out of me. I hated the animal band from that day on and refused to sit anywhere near it. I'm nearly 40 now but that memory is as fresh as the day it happened and despite knowing it was a glitch, it still freaks me out.

Now since that's against the rules here at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, they'll probably try to...forcefully stuff you inside a Freddy Fazbear suit. Um, now, that wouldn't be so bad if the suits themselves weren't filled with crossbeams, wires, and animatronic devices, especially around the facial area. So, you could imagine how having your head forcefully pressed inside one of those could cause a bit of discomfort...and death. Uh, the only parts of you that would likely see the light of day again would be your eyeballs and teeth when they pop out the front of the mask, heh. I’m substantially older than you, but yes, there were Show Bizz Pizzas in the central USA in the 1980s and 90s. Chuckie Cheeze bought them out in the early 2000s.

I remember going to "Show Biz Pizza" in a Chicago suburb (I have no idea where), as a kid in '83 or '84, for a friend's birthday party. I did not even know that Show Biz Pizza was around as recently as 2000, or even the 1990s! Perhaps they just closed the Chicago-area locations in the late 1980s/early 1990s, just as they did with Sizzlers (there were two different "building styles" with the Sizzlers; one was white buildings with a flat roof, blue trim, and blue & white awnings...the other was the more commonly-seen building with the tall "Pizza Hut-like" roof, with high, vaulted ceilings. They were the same restaurant franchise, with the same food, but I'm guessing that they were two different sub-branches of the Sizzler franchise, as the former closed its locations in Summer 1990, while the latter closed its locations between Summer 1993 and fall 1994. We DID have one last Ponderosa Steakhouse left, in Aurora, Illinois until some time during the last decade, but I digress)... Anyhow, thank you for the info! I was unaware of this.

Right? I thought it was going to be a case of a kid cracking their head open from diving into the pit. I mean, our old McDonald's had a ball pit that had to be removed because a kid got bitten by a snake (I live in the South, so we always have to be extra careful about them). It wasn't venomous or anything, but the company wasn't taking any chances. We eventually got another "ball pit", but it was basically sitting in an empty pool with four or five balls; it didn't last long. So, I figured this was going to be about something more serious, but then I saw that part of the title. /:

I'm gonna be honest with you, I never liked ball pits as a kid. Anytime I would go in them I would be forced to by a friend. Whenever this would happen, I would be protecting and watching my friend like a hawk, if I couldn't see them I would have panic attacks. I never knew why I was so skeptical and against ball pits and any other arcade game where you can hide, people just said it was the 'separation anxiety'. I don't think so, I was also a very.. 'out of it' child, I would always know things that I wasn't supposed to or shouldn't know or think at my age. I have always had these problems, but I will say one thing, my gut is never wrong and THAT is why 90% of my friends are still here and not like Miles or Sarah from this story. Thank you.
