How does the vapor barrier let the stain penetrate into the concrete so it sticks? Wouldn't that be a bond breaker? Or is the reflection floors not an acid based product? I'm going to be going to get trained on reflection flooring through elite Crete in Chicago so I can offer it to people.
@SouthIslandSurfacesVictoria8 жыл бұрын
Its a metallic color you add to the epoxy. Good luck at the training, they are an amazing company with top notch support.

Absolutely beautiful!!!! I want this in our new house. We were looking at tile but I like this so much better and were told it would cost us about half of what the tile would. Where can we get the metallic color epoxy? We live in Arizona, do you know of any companies who can install this for us?

***** Pure fallacy SIS. McKinnon Materials makes a very good exterior epoxy.UVresistant and freeze thaw application below freezing. I can take every epoxy manufacturer to task over their claims as well,but I won't. I understand you have a product to push, I don't. I'm just a contractor,a customer,with no other ties to MM.

+Palladio Decor This floor still looks beautiful 3 years later. The Urethane top coat really keeps the epoxy protected. We also don't offer the glass look in public spaces as a final finish because your right that wouldn't last.

Great flooring! However... You could have used the polyaspartic resin system. Even better effects, definitely shorter time of application... Better technicals parameters, for ex. temperature resistance over 140 dC... No scratching so easily... And more... But after the substrate preparation it would have taken you one day for the 4 layers... And the floor would be ready to use in 24 hrs... But yes... The floor IS great, anyway! Congrats! :-)

Try to use the polyaspartic 100% solids resin (clear transparent) on top instead of the urethane. Apply 1,5 kg per sqm. You will get a 3D effect and no yellowing of the epoxy whatsoever... :-)

A "mirror" layer you will receive... The one you got is semi matt or satin... :-) And the properties (characteristics) will be much much better... :-)
