I was in the anvil discord when he was talking about the weapon damage redo. He didn't just redo it once lads. Vermillion, mad lad that he is, redid it twice because his calculations were off. The dedication he throws into the game is insane, and im glad to see the fruition of it coming forward

Yes need to have the SV as fighters more of a REAL ROLL. They need to be able to do a lot of damage just as they do today. SV as FIGHTERS, DULL ROLL, and TRANSPORTS.

I would like to see some more "support" and "engineering" love, but I realize that PvE and PvP will always be the heart and soul of Empyrion.

I'd like to see some different ways the universe is changed by this; it looks more like an evolution than a revolution... Things like the "scrap piles" from star salvage, for example, or handling the carbon deposits better would make a huge difference on gameplay. But until we know more, I'll hold my thoughts

They need to make a rotating block that the fixed guns and blocks can attach to create a really large turret structure. Add to this the block should allow barrel rotation and depression for track-and-shoot functionality.

The devs have stated quite firmly and on numerous occasions that such a thing is impossible 😭Moving block structures are almost certainly never going to be added. We can always dream though! Or go play Space Engineers if we're feeling especially salty. Then we'll be reminded how much more fun Empyrion is even without those features and come running back 😂

@@resurgam_b7 I agree that's what they most likely said. They also said kneeling was impossible for a long time. Or that floating bases were impossible. Yet, I had the first before them up in the sky on my server. Skynet Fortress! Empyrion is good enough without the moving blocks and a lot more fun than space engineers...

Those are awesome. Really hope RE2 includes significant updates as far as land combat too, there's a lot of potential for better gunplay on the ground, which I think is just as important as the CV/SV combat since you do it even more often.

Very cool Love the tiers of thruster options. I'm curious about the large shield parts. They look downscaled, so updates won't cause an issue for old builds. I'm mainly wondering if a right-click alt shape for the old version is possible. I have several aesthetics designed around it. My main Trek build uses one as its deflector dish.

OMG that's exactly what I wanted to get in the game !!!! { a different look for the turrets and missile launchers, missing only one thing IMO a rocket launcher pod that is aiming to the front while being deployed out of the side and has an internal bay to be fold back in to } otherwise this is legendary !!! now all we need is actual self balancing landing gear that will adjust to the terrain and pilot cockpits for HV's/SV's that open to back of the ship } contact me if you are one of the DEV's and want to understand what I'm talking about in more detail.

first of all this looks sick i would love a update where ofer factions expand there territory over time so you can have like wars on a planet over turf that would be sick feel like no games really done it in recent years and empyrion would fit it perfectly

I really wish Eleon could add in parts that allowed us to build custom turrets. Like turret rings that you can build onto with blocks that can then rotate, and mounting blocks for fixed guns that allow for barrel elevation. Also hinges and rotors in general.

Very cool like what was showed a lot. But it does set up that ships are going to be ships not different designs I hope Vermillion also includes singles of the heavy guns so we can put them in different positions and then maybe only have 2 instead of 6. Like the bubble over the base idea that would be great even if only for POI's then you could tell if it has a shield before you get to close lol.

The new thrusters will be great in high gravity planets, he should also develop an upgrade for the space suit so it also works in those planets at some cost and also an upgrade for the probe.

There are already a couple of suits of armor in RE which allow you to survive hostile planets, one is ludicrously expensive (Augmented Armor, good for heat), the other is ludicrously rare (Voidwalker Armor, good for cold) so neither of them are particularly common to see or use. Since I'm pretty sure that the word "easier" makes Vermillion puke and Ravien grimace, I don't expect that to change too significantly for RE2. As for the drone, I recall hearing them say that they can't adjust it, Eleon has it hardcoded. I may be wrong about that though so don't quote me :)

I wouldn't bet on it, Vermillion has already changed the size of the shield capacitors twice and some of the new weapons still need adjusting so they work with blocks around them etc so its still all in the air

These are very impressive, but I do not envy the nightmare that Ravien faces trying to balance these weapons and new devices, especially when Project Eden is added to the mix. I'm afraid there will be some serious growing pains trying to figure out where these fit into ship loadouts and whether they are worth their certain to be exorbitant material and CPU costs. I really like the look of the fake turrets, but I do kind of wish there were a version of each that looked like a fixed battery as well since the turret style won't always mesh well with hull hardpoints where the manual fires are traditionally mounted and taking up exterior turret slots for manual fire weapons isn't great if your hull is already going to be cramped. That said, I do look forward to seeing a couple of absolutely giant cannons adorning the gun decks of my battlecruiser. I wonder if it would be possible to have a builder's version of RE2 released sooner than the ready to play version where the devices may or may not function, but their models are present and block stats (like CPU and mass) are implemented so that builders can start designing new ships or adjusting old ones to mount them so that they won't have to spend as much time doing that after the live release. (Also they just look gorgeous and I want to start building with them right away 😍) Thanks for the effort in showcasing the new weapons with the upgraded/updated Leviathan, you brushed it off like it was nothing but I'm sure it took you a fair chunk of time to get looking so neat ☺

There was some background noise going on at the start of this video that the software was working on and I have half a dozen filters to cut out extra noise so it could be any of them, but tbh it sounded fine to me

Just keep at it man. I suck too but I've been playing star salvage and I've taken apart enough ships that I was able to build a decent looking cv and base from some inspiration I got. My problem is it sometimes takes me forever to find the right block for what I'm trying to make.
