What part ? I’ve been looking through workbench entities and having a play with adjustments to flight model and rigidity of the mi8 rear landing gear. It’s super interesting to me figuring out how the enfusion engine simulates the helicopter. Thanks for your hard work , the modelling and animation work is top notch. I hope we see some more inertia added to the helicopters in the future 😅 Edit: holy shit you worked on the network meshing / architecture. The way the helicopters behave / fly even-though they are server side(I could also be totally wrong in saying this) is insane. If you ever want to share some of your arcane knowledge of this field please hit me up. Fascinating stuff 😅 Time to binge your videos haha

I just picked up this game recently. Just over 60hrs in and I’m getting real comfy in the pilots seat. I ranked up to captain on my last game dropping off troops and holding a pattern surrounding the point while my gunners rain steel.

Amazing skills. I used to be master pilot in Arma 2, 3 and DayZ and after a long break Ive just started playing Reforger, these clips make me so excited and thank god its Hardcore 1st person, I cant stand 3rd person servers. Amazing work, keep it up! Amazing video

Thanks bro , reforger offers a different experience to Arma 3 / dayz flying but it’s good. Upcoming inertia changes to make the helicopters slightly less “grippy” and cas variants with rockets has me very excited about reforgers future. Now is the time to be playing for sure , thanks for the support. 🫡

Just picked up Reforger the other day and today had my first experience with a pilot dropping us off with one of those crazy flip and rolls to bleed speed and **plunk** we were down and off to stalk the enemy. It was a total blast and we achieved the objective, win win.

Learned flying the SQUAD helis from your videos among any other CC, watching you fly reforger helis is something I haven't done yet. How different are the two helis and how would you consider flying the reforger helis?

@@daviddy1238 wow thats pretty awesome to hear man , I appreciate it 😎 Coming from squad the hardest thing is the lack of inertia / insane collective response. Squads helicopters drift a lot more in comparison where as these are almost on rails. (Subject to change with latest update tweaking inertia) They differ enough that you have to intentionally fly different from how you would in squad but it’s not a big enough difference that your skills won’t translate. After a few hours flying It felt natural and the details like collective changing the sound of the rotors and the buffeting / creaking as you exceed speed limits make it feel really cool. Give it a try, I’m sure you will have fun

I do enjoy how most of you landings arent the silly barrel rolls and are instead just butter smooth j hooks and precise positoning. The barrel rolls always felt a bit silly in arma but maybe im just a cringe larper.

@@catfunt5583 honestly spent the first 500h doing stunts and crazy barrel roll landings but it’s overdone to death. Spending a whole game in the air because I’m flying at 70% and putting more effort into making them intentionally smooth / more realistic has been really fun tbh. Going to keep working on refining the J hooks and keeping things efficient. can’t wait for the new heavier momentum that 1.3 will bring

@ definitely, a small early flare to gauge landing pos, then into a buttery J hook is what impresses me most. Less risk for the crew, more time to check for defilades and bits of cover. Landing accuracy is a very underrated skill. Subscribed and looking forward to seeing your progress mate.

I can fly high, I can fly low, fast or slow, j hooks and land the plane exactly where I want, but how just how do I do the barrell roll? I just can't get it to work on PS5 no matter what I do. So tutorial on that please! Great video!

@@Golla63 the secret is all to do with using your negative collective + right or left as you roll upside down (left stick down and left/right. ) I just tried it in game master with my controller and found it to be a little more difficult due to rapidly having to drag the left stick from upwards/ left to down left and return to up left at the correct time. You could make it potentially easier if you split your collective and anti torque left / right and have left and right triggers as your pedal control and leave left stick for purely collective. Right now I’m setting up both a keyboard overlay and controller overlay so future guides or gameplay that requires will show exactly what I’m doing with the sticks. (I’ll throw this into my guide I’ll be releasing ) hopefully Friday evening Thanks for your comment Stay tuned 🫡
