A bit unfortunate the Diadochi war events actually broke. You're supposed to be declared war on by Macedon, Seleucids, Egypt and Thrace within the span of 2 years with the option of ceding land in return for peace.

The Bosporan Kingdom in Crimea is a really fun playthrough. Start off small and work your way around the Black Sea, fighting increasingly powerful neighbors (Scythia -> Armenia -> Thrace -> Selukids). Highly recommend.

Laith when you select your troops, click on the ! In the top right corner - you can automate your armies so they will do things like carpet siege. Useful for Legacy of Alexander. Love the vids man, thank you so much for the Imperator love!

Antigonods are easily my favourite successor kindom. Also Laith, i find legions work best when you focus on 2 or three (not including engineers and supply) unit types. High maneuver on the flanks, powerful shock troops front line (war elephants, heavy cav) and heavy infantry in the 2nd row. A well-composed legion can rout 5x its size in inferior comp legions and levies.

What this lad says. In the menu you can control which units man the flanks front line and second line. Front line charges in first to break the enemy and the second line fills in the gaps. Light cav on the flanks, war elephants out front, followed up by a crushing wave of heavy infantry. Military engineers and supply trains out to the side providing support for sieges and river crossings as well as deep strikes. I often have a unit of like 5 light cav as a second stack of the first legion set to carpet siege to capture slaves too.

It took me the full length of the game to reunite Alexander’s empire as the Seleucid’s. A fun extra is to get as many bloodlines mixed into your ruling family as possible while you are at peace. A mini game so to speak. The buffs are pretty good when they are all mixed together

love the video's keep it up! if you're going to play all the diadochi I would recommend playing Thrace, they are weaker than the others but with a fun mission tree, you can carve out a truly great empire! keep up the good work :)

In Imperator Rome if the siege doesn't end you can consider it bugged, save the game and load it. Usually it works.

Antigonids are my favorite run to do, it's an absolute bloodbath. The only things I don't like are the piss yellow color and that you don't start w/ blood of the Argeads so if you speedform Alexander's empire you don't get the cool name.

Lmao what is that map in the thumbnail, why not normal Alexander's empire borders Also I think this is best strat for Antigonids, if you or anybody reading would like to try out: 1)get this tech oratory which removes starting -10 AE, this let's you make feudatories of everyone (!) in Greece - this is like 40k troops 2)recruit legion up to the max (split it across 2 provinces to it can resupply pre-war) and change law for the one with most levies, buy 2 biggest stacks of mercs (usually Alexandria and Bosphorus) later, delete some interior forts for some money 3) rack up tyranny to a 90 to get like -1 AE per month (not neccessarily to a 100, this will lock some event options forcing you to bad ones) This let's you have a numerical and quality superiority on every front (Greece, Egypt, Iraq) and you can completely wipe out all diadochi in up to 10 years. Very micro intensive, but well worth it, if you manage to grab needed provinces from Maurya you can quickly reform Alexander's empire for better realm stability (you'll end up on 160 AE and bleeding stability so crushing rebellions comes in this package)

The best Empire, not alexanders, was, though still lacking in modern levels of humane ideals, was the Achaemenid Empire with Cyrus The Great at its helm, for simply being a far more fair and just ruler to his subjects.
