Sí, se puede usar el verbo "to aim", significa lo mismo, son sinónimos, creo que se usa más "aim" cuando se trata de apuntar con un arma de fuego. Como que al profe se le olvidó mencionarlo.

Hi profe, how you doin' ?. Great video profe, I learned some correct new words, I would've used another terms but you're right, I looked them up in a dictionary. I noticed something strange profe, the verb "ricocheted off" is in the past tense, however it ain't pronounced as it should be, according to the pronunciation rules of the regular verbs in the past. Why is that profe ?. Well, at least I heard you pronounced it wrong but I checked it out and your pronunciation is correct. Is it possible that it's an exception profe ?. The word ends with a "T" so the "ED" should be pronounced differently. And about that Donald Trump stuff, I mean, that so-called attack, to me, it seems more like an act (looks like a performance) than something real. Thanks in advance for the answers and for the video. 👍.

Hey! Native here. You certainly don’t need any advice from me since you write so well. But, to answer your question, the English words that end in ‘et’ are usually French in origin and are pronounced like the ‘e’ in the Spanish ‘puré’. So, we have ‘chalet’, ‘Monet’, ‘Moulet’, ‘ricochet’, etc.

@@fredylopez2477 Ah, I see what you mean. OK, some of those words can be verbs, ‘to crochet’, which in the past would be, ‘crocheted’ but the ‘ed’ is pronounced with a ‘d’, not a ‘t’ sound, like, ‘played’, and unlike ‘passed’.

Hidden y concealed tienen una pequeña diferencia, aunque personalmente es muy minuscula. Se dice que se usa "concealed" para indicar que algo se ha escondido con la intencion de que nadie lo descubra. En cambio, hidden puede significar algo que esta oculto a la vista, como por ejemplo "the moon is hidden from our sight during the day because of the sun." Es por eso que cuando se habla de armas ocultas, se usa a menudo "concealed."

Sí profe, son diferencias bastante diminutas, aunque cuando se usa "hidden", considero que también se tiene la intención de que nadie lo descubra, creo que el término "concealed" es formal y "hide" es informal. Similar a "regarding" y "about" que transmiten la misma idea solo que en forma formal y la otra es más coloquial. Gracias por su aclaración profe.

Creo que también podrías decir; - "Someone shot him AT POINT- BLANK RANGE". Y tiene el mismo sentido. Si fueron varias personas las que dispararon entonces si usas "they", pero generalmente es una.

Él no lo hizo por eso. Solo quiso relacionar el tema de las armas y hacer alusión a Trump, porque la put* bala se llevó un trozo de su oreja. Muchos se alegrarían de ver que el intento de magnicidio hubiera tenido éxito. Unos lo expresan públicamente directo y claro. Otros no llegan a tanto.

No hay problema. Siempre he tratado toda clase de temas que muchos otros no tocan. Quienes me siguen hace mucho me conocen bien. Mi intencion es dar toda clase de informacion del idioma.
