Refrigerator Shelf Repair ON THE CHEAP

This video describes how you can repair an acrylic refrigerator shelf that has a crack. The key to salvaging the shelf is to drill a hole at the very end of the crack. This in effect stops the crack from propagating further. You can also add epoxy to the crack to help stiffen the shelf. I’ve used this repair method successfully several times. Often you cannot find a replacement shelf, or if you do, they’re very expensive so this is a sustainable option and is consistent with my mantra, “fix it up, make it do and make it do wear”.
