Refueling My Ford Propane Truck

At Hocon Gas in Norwalk, Connecticut, we go through the steps to fill a Ford F-250 truck with liquid propane. Is the same stuff that goes into gas grilles a transportation fuel of the future?

I had a 78 Chevy pick up with 100 gallon propane tank in the bed. I got it in Arizona and apparently the guy drove it in from Alaska where he had it converted and boy do I wish I still had that truck

I remember in the '70s California a lot of the city trucks the mail trucks a lot of big businesses were running propane engines and they got rid of them they were way ahead of their time

How much is propane in America compared to Gasoline? Here in Ireland I run my car on LPG (Propane) and it costs around 58% the cost of Gasoline (Petrol). a saving of 42%. LPG is €0.869 and Gasoline is €1.50/Litre at the moment here. Alternative fuels are good for the pocket and the environment also.

LPG!!! I'm Europe we run on it for decades already. Cheaper, better for environment, unfortunately lobbyists of shell and BP have the politics in their pockets

He said 50 gallon, so that's a bit less than 200 liters.

@@MylanPS3 The tanks are 50 gallon, but can hold 40 gallons of liquid propane (per the 80% rule). I have the same truck, I get 420 miles on 40 gallons. I pay an average cost of $1.20 per gallon.
