If your WD40 ban has to do with aerosols, you can still get non aerosol WD40 by the gallon and just put it in a spray bottle.

I hear it has something to do with aerosols or VOC's but who knows . I hear there is already a WD40 knock off substitute on the market and that WD40 is changing its formulation to meet requirements.
