Excellent insight on the link between tragic stories and Refusing the Call

Thank you! In the next one I link the lack of Supernatural Aid (or Mentor Energy) with another genre.

Think Spiritual !!! Can’t wait to watch that haha. I’m trying to write a coming-of-age Revenge/Rescue Western and I have several books on the Hero’s Journey to help me figure out pieces of the story

I'm grateful to have found this video (and subsequently this series). I'm stuck in this stage and it's super frustrating

If you're searching, you may not be as stuck as you think you are (unless someone else is somehow keeping you there). It's only the stubborn and closed-minded who get truly stuck here.

Refusal of the call. Usually followed by "the call knows where you live."

No, not if it makes you happy/satisfied. The Hero's Journey is ultimately about opening up to your Emotional Center. The Call to Adventure is to deal with your past traumas and Return to what you always were: perfect as you are. I would change all of my past information to express that, but this was a learning process for me as well.
