These sounds are all cool! But it's worth mentioning the loading speed! I have it on my mac book pro, m2 with 8gb of ram, and the sound library is on an external drive. I tried loading some presets while keeping a key down, without the sound preview, and it was insane! It literally was instant. I could have the new sound coming in right on the logic's metronome click!

I wish reFX would sell Nexus 5 with all Expansions for less than a thousand bucks… let’s say even $999, it would be more realistic to current market.

Yeah, would be great if they offer discounts for people who bought already many expansions and want to upgrade owning all of them.

The price is ok for someone who buys it from scratch. The issue is that they don't have an upgrade system for that bundle. In fact, when i went to upgrade, the nexus only and the second one were upgrades, while the full said buy. They should apply a discount based on how many expansions you already have. Especially considering you still have to buy the ones which come out after your purchase.

hi there, great vid btw, just asking whether the old factory presets are included if you buy nexus 5?? As ive never bought nexus before so im wondering if I will get some of the old sounds from the earlier nexus versions. thanks

Yes, all previous factory presets are included as well.

Do you know if the plugin accept to send midi out ? That way you can catch the sequence in your daw , like a midi FX

You can authorize your new computer and deauthorize your old one. I am a long term Nexus user and also updated my computer gear over the years without any issues.

You can easily solo each layer, export it and create one shots out of it.

I know it’s a lot of content but 2k is brutal. I love nexus and been using it for yeaaars and I’m a huge reFX fan but damn… wish I could spend that money… but no way I can😔

Well, you pay them to take your money, then they give this to you for free.

reFX charges usually 60.- for expansions that only contain 130-150 presets. With Nexus 5 over 1100 brand new presets are included. Feels free to me since the software update alone is worth the upgrade price.

@@chimerastate yes the upgrade is very cool, the EDM 10 expansion is very very good (it's has been a long time an expansion contains so many good sounds) but when you buy a VST (synth software+presets) you pay for the whole package, so saying the presets are free is wrong. They are not expansive (because actually the expansions are TOO expansives) but it's not "free". Imagine all the people who don't know Nexus and see your video (thanks to the title with FREE in uppercase...) and think they can have that for free, they will be mad at you... 😑
