Again, you made magic! You consistently come out with something that is stunning, not just pretty. I didn't exactly have your colors but the ones I made mine with make it sparkle like Tiffany's: 4mm Swarovski White Opal Rounds, Czech Milky White 3mm Firepolish, 11-1051 Miyuki Galvanized Silver, 11-310 Matsuno Transparent Rainbow Purple (I think that's what really made it sparkle like diamonds, with a subtle pinkish hue), and my go-to color ALWAYS is 8-176 Toho Transparent Black Rainbow AB. I've used that color on many a beaded necklace chain. I'll be making many of these, maybe trying Czech beads next ($$)!

Hi love your videos, you're very very good at explaining things.. I wonder if you or any other experienced jewellery beaders would mind answering a quick question for me. I would like to take it up, but I have no idea what I should buy bead wise to start with. Sizes etc.. would anyone or yourself be able to advise on which sizes would be best to start with? Or maybe would you consider making a short video on how to put together a starting pack? Many thanks in advance, Linda.

Very nice tutorial - and I've watched many - worth commenting on. Thank you. And your adding the supplies needed on the description after someone requested it was a nice touch. When you refer in the video to watch "joining fireline for bead weaving" are you referring to the one by Patrick Duggan where he makes a square knot and then uses a lighter to cauterize? Thanks again.
@GinasGemCreations11 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the compliments, I appreciate them very much! Yes, that is the video I am referring to, just make sure to make very small blobs on the thread so the joint will pass through very small beads.

I apologize for the couple of spots of pixilation. I have issue with this in every video. I have learned some tricks to help this but there is always one or two areas of distortion. Thank you for putting up with those small areas of issue!

Linda, I cannot reply to your comment, so I will here. I will make a video too, that is a good idea. But to start weaving it always good to start a collection of 11/0, 8/0, 15/0 seed beads and then 4 and 6mm round beads: pearls, Firepolish, crystal. 4 and 6mm bicone crystal are good too. Super duos are good to have too. Now, I know there are many other types of beads and sizes that you will need to do specific projects but these are the basics.

I do have a question that I forgot to ask for the necklace: can we use just miyuki seed beads? Or toho and miyuki? I don't really have any Czech 8/0. I have Czech in 11/0 but not 8/0. I know you used Czech 8/0 and 11/0 and toho 11/0. Will all miyuki change the pattern? Thanks so much for your help in advance. You could try the five strand. You may have to adjust the positioning of it to center it as close as possible, I think a three strand would be to small.

Yay!!!! I finally started this piece. I was so intimidated by the netting but following your great tutorial skill, I found it has almost a zen feeling! ;-) I do have just one more question. Is there any special reason for using 2 different color of seed beads? After all this work, I'd like to make it different enough from yours so I can offer it in my Etsy shop, while still referencing your KZbin channel...... if that's okay with you.
@GinasGemCreations9 жыл бұрын
Yes that is fine. I used two different colors of seed beads because I wanted more color in my finished piece. You certainly can use just one color.

That’s a difficult question, I always want to price them according to materials and time spent, but then, they are too high to generate any interested buyers. I think it is a personal choice, how or low you want to price your pieces depends on what feel comfortable with.

I understand. I click on something pretty, then I see these things too and end up bawling. Take pinterest and Facebook. On Facebook I will see a yummy cake recipe. I click the link without seeing it's a link to pinterest and, this is TRUE, 30 minutes later I'm sobbing about not being able to make angora socks for my preschooler, and even worse, "why CAN'T I be a BETTER mother TO MY CAT?!!". Ask my husband, he's seen it. Gina, you have no control over corporate things, it's not your fault.

Gina about the 1000 crystals I meant I have enough for everything not just for the necklace although that would be a huge collar. Lol. I have 2 colorways metallic purple lilac firepolish with silver lined crystal as the base or a darker jonquil ab firepolish with a tiny hue of green depending on how you hold it with metallic light or dark bronze as the base with an accent 11/0 Czech lime green otherwise purple 1 is all miyuki. Not sure which colorway. My question I have is if we use all miyuki seed beads will this change the count? Thanks so much in advance for your help. Much love your new friend Melissa Doucette from Florida

My camera has a very strong zoom, it magnifies things about 40x. But, it makes it easier for the viewers to see.

in the video you state to use 3mm round crystals but in the instructions above you have 4mm round crystals. Which is right thank you. Really well done and easy to follow
@GinasGemCreations11 жыл бұрын
They are 4mm round crystals. I must address that problem! Oops. Sometimes I get my sizes mixed up when I am chattering away on video.

Gina can you use Japanese 8/0's in place of the Czech 8/0's????? I use all Japanese seed beads and was just wondering??? Your bracelet is beautiful and thank you so much for answering my question!!!!
@GinasGemCreations10 жыл бұрын
Yes, Cheryl, just don't use delica or treasure beads. They do not work in this design.

Hi, I am happy you like this one. I think you are asking what thread to use. I used 8 lb Fireline. If you can not find it you can use Nymo or any beading thread you prefer...Fireline works best with crystal because it is strong and doesn't cut easily.
