Regal Pines Sew Along Introduction

Today Chelsi begins the Regal Pines Sew Along. In this video, Chelsi introduces this fun quilt and gives some details as to how she will be proceeding with the sew-along. This quilt measures 71" x 83" and will be pieced together in Sherri and Chelsi's Favorite Things fabric collection. Sherri will also be joining in on this sew-along! I am so excited I was able to find a local quilt shop near me that had favorite things fabric! I just purchased all my fabric to get going on this quilt and your pattern. This will be my first quilt, following a pattern and my first so long!

Hi Chelsi' I did go straight to FQS and ordered the pattern which finally arrive in Maine on Friday. Had to check out the video again as I needed to find out when you are beginning the sew-a-long. I am sooo excited. I have also downloaded the sew along journal. Working on my monthly plan for August so appreciate the information that you have planned on four weeks (at this point anyway). Therefore, working with your great chart, I planned making one block on the odd days and two blocks every even days. I feel that it will work into my schedule fine. See you Saturday, Hugs

Yikes Chelsi, love, love, love this quilt. I'm going to clone myself so I can sew along!!!! I'm at my machine right now working on So scrappy Spools quilt. This is a must do quilt for me as I clearly remember wooden spools as my maternal grandmother sewed all her seven children's clothing and made many quilts. I even can remember a few big as in tall as in spools. Conclusion, made a note to myself to head to FQS to find this pattern as we live in Maine surrounded with pine trees. I love trail riding my horse Noel down dirt paths enjoying meadows and thick wooded areas. Btw, you're doing great. 'Keep it up kid' as my favorite uncle would say.

I have been waiting for this fun SAL to start. I have all my supplies and I am ready to make this beauty for Christmas. I went ahead and bought a FQ bundle, border yardage, binding, and backing so I could get it quilted once I complete it. I think the favorite things collection will be just darling for this quilt. I plan to gift it to my daughter as a Christmas gift (if I don't fall in love with it first) and pray she cherishes it for a lifetime. So excited for this SAL. I am even thinking about making this for myself using Lella Boutique's Christmas Eve line.

This is a lovely pattern, but as money is very tight and I’m forced to save money, if I don’t put a border but still make the big size, how much fabric will I need as an absolute minimum, as I usually have a lot of fabric left over and atm I don’t want that, is it possible to say ? It would be so helpful ❤
