Thanks for giving that piece a good home! There are actually two of these maquettes from the production. The Profiles-sold piece which Phil had kept after wrapping ROTJ, and the one George has at the archives/main-house at Skywalker Ranch. The paint's in better condition on the Ranch example and that was what we used as the reference for our paint on this replica. :)

Good to know! I guess the auction catalog was wrong about it being the only surviving example

@@MightyJabbasCollection yeah, that sort of research always develops a bit over time. Still an amazingly rare piece that they sold and the owner's got something very special!

I really like the tippet arms. I'm glad they went with more weight on Jabba.

That's a neat piece. And find it interesting he had stripes on his tail. I think that detail would have been cool on the full Jabba.

Great review of the product. I like how structured the review is with giving a brief intro on the original Marquette

This reminds me of something akin to the Marvel/DC Gallery statues, but not made of PVC. I'm _amazed_ they can produce licensed, hand painted statues like that for $50. But....this comes with a COA, plaque, hand painted in the US (not China), and is based off a concept model. All that can easily cost you a couple hundred dollars or more. I can see ppl bashing this little guy about the price; but when you know things about collectibles, it's not _that_ bad. I wasn't even expecting you to divulge the price, just to find out on their site it's $600 or so; but that definitely wasn't the case. Oh yeah, as a *major* Jabba fan, I'd get it.

I remember seeing the original maquette show up in a Star Wars documentary before, probably either "Empire of Dreams" or "From Star Wars to Jedi". I always found concept stuff like that intriguing.

Heya! Great Maquette! It would be amazing if they did the entire Court! Great Video! Can I Be a Real Pain and ask a Favour? I noticed in your Auction Catalogue that you have a Picture of the EEV from Alien 3? I’m Hoping to Build this Model and any reference is Invaluable? Could you do a Scan for me Please and Message Me? I really would Appreciate it! Of course I can something for you in return, put it out there and we’ll see? Best!

Wow. How do they even make any money on these? Do the math. The whole run involves so very little money, split up a bunch of ways. Cool video.
