You would be surprised how a different hairdo would make one look so different. A case in point is actress Joyce DeWitt. She had big hair for the first couple of seasons of Three's Company. She went to a stylist who gave her a short 'do which totally changed her looks and made her look 1000% better. She later sported longer straight hair, but she basically stuck with that short do to this day.

This guy is tooo great. I love how he goes the extra mile...more than one mile in fact ...to give this youngster advice on a hair cut. Man you can see the enthusiasm in Dan at 17:00 - he really sees the potential (that he probably already sees in his head) right there and shared it with his client. Dan is not only a top notch barber, but you can see he just loves his job. I think it's normal for Oli to just "smile" a bit at the end - I mean he had long hair for so many years, it's probably more of a (pleasant) shock to see the final result. But I'm sure he will get a lot of "wows" from his friends and family and he will be really happy with it, especially with the versatility in this haircut.

As usual the cut is great but I think the young man was in shock. He will likely feel better about it in a couple weeks when he's used to it. I think going from long to short hair with no intermediate cut is often too shocking, even if the end cut is fine. He has a beautiful face and perhaps should look into modelling or acting.( BTW, I wish Dan could cut my hair, and I'm a 77 year old woman, but still rockin' style). Dan is sooo talented.
